I don’t know what to say
I’ve lived In Lakeland since 1991 and have played here 100 times . This is the absolute worse condition course I’ve ever seen. Greens beat up, fairways have giant damaged areas that are in the middle of play. It needs to be closed and totally renovated . I’ve also never seen 27 holes available have a pace issue. It’s not ran right at all and is in awful shape. I wouldn’t play here for free. Bartow is in way better shape, sandpiper is too. These are the other cheaper courses In The area. It’s embarrassing. I’ve gave a rough review here before but I gave it another shot. Anyone working there knows what this looks like and even if u complain nicely or at least ask about it, they don’t care one bit. Whoever owns this please sell to someone who cares about golf . I wish I had pics to put on here. I should have taken some
Inappropriate Value for a Public Golf Course
Cleveland Heights every year is a disaster until late spring and the Lakeland City Government approves funds for the four ball state tournament held in late March. The rye grass is always late late in over seeding and the course suffers immensely. Great location, wonderful layout of the 3 nines would be a great pleasure to play if only they would spend a few dollars to upgrade the course. Go play Heritage Isles, Eaglebrooke or Big Cypress for better value. Then again play Sandpiper for the same disappointment.

Public course
Conditions are mediocre at best right now. Greens were sanded. Definitely need to play winter conditions to find some grass to hit off. Nice course to start if you are coming out of the cold and snow

No doubt the cold weather has an impact on the conditions of the golf course part the greens where sand was prevalent.

Muddy look
The course was so wet we should have worn rubber boots. It was also cart path only on a lot of holes, Will try it again on later date.

A Bit Wet, but Manageable
Only played 9 on B. Pace of play was fine with a tee time before 9AM. Course is still a bit wet with cart path only in a few places. If you stay in the fairways, it shouldn't be a problem. Greens are slow.

Typical municipal feel
27 hole layout and you better stay alert. There is a lot of tee boxes and greens that are close to each other. I did like the holes layout. I lil muddy from the rain drum last week

Wow!
Second time in a couple of weeks. Got there before tee time. This course has 3 different nines. B course stacked 8 carts deep and we were told to get in line. After some complaining we were told we could start on A course. After talking to the starter they are playing players who are playing 18 on B and C courses and saving A course for the ones playing 9. This creates a huge backup for players who play 18. I will not be back until they change their policy. Sad because I love the course setup and it is close to the house. Good luck.
