Upset playing at Schalamar...
We haven't played there since 2018 bc I couldn't fine a tee time with Hot Deals. Then, they weren't posting any tee time on GolfNow. When I saw this, I was able to use the buy one/get one code bc it was after 12. It was busy, slow pace. What we felt was unfair was that there were a group of 2 or three getting ready to play and then someone would ride up and say...."oh, there George, I'll go play with them", so that made waiting even longer. Nice course, staff friendly and the residents were also friendly but, for a 45 minute drive.....we'll pass. Very nice course.
P.S.....I birdied the first hole and then my husband birdied, too!!

Bring your game strategy.
Course has a lot of hole that will have you thinking to choose best shot. Plenty of water but always a route for all golfers. Driving range is into a sizable pond - great fun !!

It's Hard To Find The Good
I could go into detail about how disappointing my overall experience was, but suffice to say if I were on my death bed and the doctor offered me 4 more hours of life in exchange for a round at this course, I'd tell him to "pull the plug."
(Besides, at the pace my round played I'd only get 12 holes into it anyway.)

Overall the course is in pretty good shape. The greens are rather fast.

Great day for a round
The morning we had a rain storm my tee time was at 3pm and the course was a little wet but it was expected the greens drained excellent and rolled perfectly and the fairways were a little soft you could play lift clean and place,golf carts clean and ready to go,I think there is 4 hydration stations per side and nice 2 holes in the woods called the Gators jaw. I haven’t played in a long time and it’s coming back to me. This course is why I love golf so much this course has every type of situation you want. Great Course !!!!

Strategic but short
There were some short holes (320 yards or less. Club selection is necessary due to tight landing areas.A few green were slower but most were consistent. Played with nice group of regulars.

Not a 4 - star course
This is no where near a 4 star course. Yes it was reasonable cost however don’t expect the same condition as other in the 4 star region. Probably just below average condition.

Nice Tree Lined Course
Course not very long but has beautifully layout holes. Fairways and greens were in very good condition although some holes were very wet from recent bad weather. Very secluded course from houses and traffic noise. Pace of play was excellent although not to many players on course. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommend this course.

Disappointed
After reading the reviews I thought I’d see a much better conditioned coarse. Although the greens rolled true thy were filled with weeds and burnout spots, fairways were spotty and several water filled bunkers. Very disappointed.

This is a hidden gem. Greens are very fast and course is well kept. Overall an excellent place to play a round.
