The ninth hole runs only 339 yards, but the dangerous approach must cross a pond. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 03/13/2026

Seen from behind the green, a view of the 13th. This par-3 measures 125 yards and plays to an island green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 03/13/2026

Seventeen is a fine driving hole. Off the tee is trouble both right and left, and the fairway narrows after the prime landing zone. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 03/13/2026

If one hole is most likely to wreck your card, it is the par-4 18th (index #1), whose large water hazard threatens both the drive and second shot. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 03/13/2026

Judging by its pancake-like shell, this appears to be a Florida softshell turtle, who was traveling cautiously from pond to pond across the eleventh tee. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 03/13/2026

A superlative short par-3, the fourth features a raised and well-contoured green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/20/2026

At the par-4 tenth, it takes a straight drive to find this narrow fairway. It’s not unusual, though, to find the water. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/20/2026

Fifteen just may be the finest par-3 at Schalamar. Measuring as long as 224 yards, it demands an excellent shot for a GIR. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/20/2026

2nd Hole: Par-5, 519 yards: The driving zone allows for a slashing drive off the tee, but on the second shot (viewed here) the fairway narrows like an hourglass. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/18/2025
-
6th Hole: Par-3, 180: A lengthy bunker nabs misplayed shots to the right and front of green six, as seen from the woodland. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/18/2025

9th Hole: Par-4: Although 339 yards, this index 6 hole challenges you on every shot. A hook off the tee spells deep, watery trouble. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/18/2025

Running as long as 400 yards, the 10th threatens not only with a daunting array of hazards—water, sand, trees, OOB–but also a tight fairway. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/18/2025

This large pond encircles what is virtually an island green at the par-3, 125 yard thirteenth. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/18/2025

The # 6-index hole, fourteen features a brilliant design, a trio of well-placed bunkers, and a long, lateral water hazard. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/18/2025

Not as good as it was last year
We had a lot of rain so it’s not the courses fault. It was cart path only and very mushy everywhere. A lot of the fairways weren’t even mowed in a long time. I understand. Can’t mow if it’s a swamp. 16 th hole was horrendous. And now all that beautiful woods and forest behind the 15th green and 16th tee was destroyed for a housing development. Horrible. Conditions will no doubt improve with better weather. But it was really bad the other day when I played . Only play there in good weather.,weeks after any wet weather
Conditions awful
Advertised as great greens redone two years ago. Greens are in just awful condition. So poor, you can't get a true roll for the lack of grass. Rain has course in so bad shape, lack of mowing fairways makes them deeper than most courses roughs. Just really poor. Food was great, beer was cold, but I wouldn't waste my money again.
Hello, ArmyNavyDIV. Thank you for reviewing the course. Let us first start by apologizing for the poor experience you had during your visit. Your feedback about the course is important to us. We with the recent rain we are working to get everything up to par. We have projects ongoing to recover the fairways and greens from the water on the course. The current condition is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. We are going to escalate your feedback to our team so we can make improvements before your next game. We will continue to work towards an excellent experience by using your comment for guidance. Thank you for playing Schalamar Creek Golf Club. We hope to see you again soon.
Staff
Very friendly staff especially the Ranger course was wet so some fairways not mowed understandably also holes 11,13,14 played as par 3. will definitely return when playing conditions are better.
Thank you for your review, LsMgh500xd. We will pass along your positive experience to our team at Schalamar Creek Golf Club. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
Rather short but partially tricky…
Were paired with a couple from Canada and had an enjoyable round. The pace was good – 4 hours. Tee boxes and fairways may need some attention, but are playable. Bunkers are mostly OK. Greens are good too, though some places missing a little grass, but have a good speed. Staffs were very cordial and helpful.
Overall it is a good shorter course and worth the drive from Orlando.
Hello tomik17. Thank you for taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass along your feedback to the staff so they can work to make changes. Thanks for visiting us!

Schalamar
Very tight. Not too long. Decent greens. Fairways good, rough sparse. Ball washers actually had soap and water. One group waved me through and a second had me join. Nice folks

Nice short course
Course is in very good shape. Greens are amongst the best around. tee boxes need work. Still a good value for the money.

Good experience
Course in good shape. Good greens. Fun to play with lots of challenges. A bit narrower than most Florida courses.
Great value
Great course condition and layout for the money. Will definitely play it again and could easily be a two or three time a month course.

Classic managed course
Tees allowed for all level of players. Fairways were right, but fair, greens were fast & true. Staff was friendly & helpful. Would recommend to all.except going aggressive jocks.
Fun course to play
Course is relatively short but does require accurate shot placement to score well. Greens and fairways are in great shape.
well kept course
This is a nice moderate priced and moderate difficulty course. It was very busy and the play was slow. A ranger was present and tried to speed up play but it was just slow over the whole course.
According to some others, this was unusual. Nice people and fun course to play.
a great Day
They had a tournament right after us and the course was in amazing shape smooth fast greens perfect fairways and clean tee boxes i love this course.
Wow, we are so happy you enjoyed your round, jasonkearney! We look forward to seeing you again soon.
