3rd hole, par-4, 363 yards, blue tees: Perhaps the signature hole and the #1 index, this hole’s green is amply defended by water. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/22/2025

8th hole, par-4, 277: Playing uphill from tee to green, this hole puts up a stern defense against being driven. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/22/2025

11th hole, 85: A hole of average difficulty, this par-3 hole supplies a stunning view into the distance. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/22/2025

Eighteen, a short par-4 of 328, is a fine drive-and-pitch finisher. The fairway is rumpled, and reminds me of some closing British holes I’ve played. . Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/22/2025

Great course perfect day Photo submitted by SHASHI60 on 02/05/2019
Great time
I had a chance to play Huntington today with two of my regular golfing buddies and was paired up with a truly wonderful guy named Jackie. I couldn’t have been paired up with a better person. We had a lot of laughs and I felt like I truly can call him a friend and I hope I get a chance to play with him again. Regarding the course, pretty decent shape, greens were very fast and challenging pin placements today. Good value.
Sixnine
I arrived at the course with no explanation, but was pleasantly surprised. The cashier was a little slow, but he paired me with 3 wonderful guys. Phil, Kevin and Rick. It was great. The first few holes was very, very challenging but fun. Thanks Huntington.
Speedy greens
A very friendly welcome both in the pro shop and the bar. Course is in very good condition with greens especially good - slippery fast on downhill putts. Best holes are from 3 to 6 where placement of tee shots vital for approaches over water. Other holes were fine but nothing particularly memorable
Great conditions, great value
1st time playing this course and it was in amazing shape. Fairways, greens and tee boxes all in great shape on a challenging and unique course. Well worth the $45 rate we got here on GolfNow. Was pleasantly surprised to enjoy it so much and look forward to coming back!
Nice challenging course
Nice enjoyable round of golf. Played about 1 and it was not busy. Ball placement important. My wife is a high handicapper and she also enjoyed. Only suggestion would be a ranger as the uncaring golfers would park their cart almost on the green-something that makes me mad.-I don’t like golfers to disrespect a course.
Unique course for the area
Greens rolled fast and true and fairway conditions were very good as well. Rolling fairways and hard to find a flat spot to hit from, as well as some nice elevation changes. Lots of nice bunkers as well.
Great course, getting expensive
In this area, Huntington Hills is near the top of all public courses. However, golf is getting more costly everywhere, and Huntington Hills offers only a single GolfPass discount per day, always at the same time. The course is often wide-open during other times of the day and week. I think if Huntington Hills was a more active participant on GolfPass, they could keep the money coming in on a regular basis.
Hills
Will travel an hour to play here at least once a month. Good layout, good conditions but a bit wet after a big rain. Friendly staff. Water moccasin signs were appreciated!!
Good round
We had a good time. Clearly, if I was paying attention, I would have noticed what the yardage on the course was, but I thought they were fairly creative in placing some water hazards on shorter par 4's to compensate for the light distance. That's probably a lot more common than I've experienced, but I thought that happened at least 2 or 3 times. But, it was a good course, I had been wanting to play it for a while.
The absolute worst thing I can say about it is that there is a concrete walkway that is next to where you grab your cart. It is in an optimal place to get directly to the parking lot, and my excuse is that it was fairly early in the morning for me. For some reason, I saw the sign, I read the sign, and it said "No Carts in Path", but I just didn't believe that is what it could actually mean. I considered that it meant 'No Carts Parked in Path", maybe. But, apparently I was wrong. After I used the non-cart walkway, I was informed of my mistake. Wasn't a big deal, the layout of the place just had an unexpected effect, I guess. Maybe "Pedestrians Only, No Carts", I don't know.
Anyways, other than that, which was probably really more my mistake than anything, had a great time, was a great day, would do it again. Just don't use that walkway.
Not too shabby
This is definitely one of the nicest public courses in Lakeland. Not extremely challenging, but very fun to play.
Membership is extremely ignorant, which takes away from a great golf course.
Huntington Hills is a fantastic layout that is in fantastic shape.
HOWEVER……… I have never seen a more rude or ignorant membership then I saw playing golf today behind 4 members on the back nine. There was nobody within four holes in front of them and I was a single stuck behind them. For nine holes they looked back every other shot to see where I was, but never once asked me to play through. Those kind of jerks really take away from a great golf course and a great staff. I hope the golf course enjoys a $200 a month membership for people to act like that.
Terrific course
This course is great. The staff were friendly and helpful. You could tell they enjoyed being there. The fairway have lots of undulations so every shot was interesting. The rough was fair and playable. The greens were in fine shape. The putts rolled true and quick. I played with 11 other guys and we finished in just over 4 hours. The only problem I found was a lot of Fire ant beds on the front nine. Easily fixed with some Andro. High and low handicap players will enjoy this course.
Awesome
Course was great. Nothing was bad. The only thing maybe that was bad. Is we had to stop. Best I have seen the course.
Player Player
I enjoyed playing Huntington today but, we were behind some members and they were very pushy. This was not the first time this has happened. I enjoy playing got but I do not enjoy being pushed are hurried every hole.
