South Course at Big Cypress Golf & Country Club

This course was tough but fair. Great value for the money. Pace of play wasn’t great but better than Huntington Hills. Great layout and good condition.

The course was well maintained and the employees were very helpful and courteous. I would recommend it for mid level players. It may not be long enough for big hitters. We had a great time.

Title says it all...Great layout, good conditions, fantastic greens. This course is one of the best values in the area. I would absolutely play it again and then again and again.

First time playing the South Course. This course is in pristine shape, similar to Valspar course. As I stated previously, after playing the North Course, courses like Links of Lake Bernedette, Scotland Yards and Brooksville Golf Courses should get advice from Big Cypress management on how to maintain a course.

Ok course. Great restaurant and club house many locals with carts.

Very good course. Great greens. Reasonably priced especially when compared to other courses. Staff fine, not super friendly but efficient.

Only complaint was they never told us about a Juniors competition going out before us. It was for 8 to 10years olds on the first 9. We caught up with them on the third and the next 6 holes took over 2 hours. Over 3 hours for the first 9 is totally unacceptable. Pace of play on back 9 was perfect

This course is always in good shape this time of year! BCS is a shorter but tight course that requires some controlled shots especially off the tee. We played 1:30pm round. Hoping to miss some of the busy morning tee times but it was still pretty backed up. Rangers told me they had a 20 golfer outing, tee off just before us.

The Pro shop and starters are always great and ready to help you get loaded up and in the 1st tee box queue. Practice green and Range are great. Spend some time putting to get a feel for the super fast greens here! (I would guess 12-13 on the stimpmeter).

Tee boxes and greens are great. The fairways are decent and relatively soft considering the lack of rain in Florida this winter. We enjoyed our round but it was pretty slow. But you almost have to expect it this time of year with all the snowbirds and visitors. I would recommend!!

These are the best green I have played in Florida. They are in fabulous shape, fast, firm and fair. Good layout, a few tricky tee shots but fair. I will definitely play it again.

Beautiful course, well laid out and maintenance is very good. Good variety of holes, water everywhere and some great par threes. Pro shop staff can be described as efficient without being welcoming or friendly. Super value for money, highly recommend a visit.

Firstly I was quite impressed to see the fairways have grass and so does the tee boxes ! Most courses tend to cut the grass too low. The greens are lighting fast (probably 14 on the putt scale).

Most likely the fastest greens in Central Florida, and I must say that all greens are super nice too. This course is well manicured, hats off to the green's keeper and staff.. The only thing I would improve on is adding flowerbeds

The staff treated me like one of their members and with class. From the proshop (Rich), the Starter/Marshall Jeff and another gentlemen who was coordinating the Can-Am tournament that day, I must say the staff is super friendly.

Driving from Orlando and Davenport was a bit far, but I enjoyed the course so much that I will be back.

I even drove around the neighborhood after the game and noticed a few houses for sale, and thinking this is a great area and course I'd like to belong to from a snowbirds perspective.

I love this course but no water on fairways. It’s been so dry it eating up the fairways and tee box’s. The greens are like glass but in good shape. It’s really hard for me to pay $70. I love the layout and staff. Recommend giving it a couple of months to green up before playing.

Big Cypress is always in great shape and the greens are fast!!
