Golf In Lackland
Great staff can't say enough good things about the check lady working our golf round, very friendly and professional. Starter was great as he worked with us helping us get situated as our fourth was a bit late. He reshuffled the tee times and made it happen. The cart lady was The Champ she went back to the parking lot and found our late fourth and brought him out to us on the second hole and he checked on us throughout the round to make sure we are good drink and food wise. Will definitely be back again and again......
5 and a half hour round
Course is overbooked, weekend rounds are easily over 5 hours

Front nine took 3 hours, back nine 2 and a half hours!
Greens were challenging
Overall the course is in decent shape for this time of year. The fairways were spotty but the greens were challenging at times. Overall a good experience.
Hot Deal for 3 Golfers
Confusion at the Starter spot. We were a 3 person Hot Deal expecting to play with the holder of the other spot. Our guess is that he showed up early and went out with another group. Part of the problem is possibly a lack of firmness at the Starter position. Perhaps radio communication with the Pro Shop/Manager would help along with the pro shop combining golfers and letting them know THERE that they will be paired up to create foursomes ESPECIALLY IN SEASON.
So slow and no grass in fairways.
When we got to the second hole there was three groups waiting on the tee and two eventually behind us. Three hour front nine, no Marshall. Back nine was much better, just over two hours. Fairways were in fair condition, but understandable for this time of year.
6.5 hours for 18. Painful.
Nice course, New ownership has done some great improvements on the course and the clubhouse. Unfortunately, all that work is for not because the pace of play is unforgivable. The management has complete control of the pace but chooses to overload the course by overbooking the teetimes. Seven minute intervals with a foursome sets the scene for a painfully long day of golf. On this course. You are left waiting for 20 minutes at every hole and every shot making it impossible to get into a rythem. My recommendation to the management is stagger the teetimes to nine minutes, and raise green fees to offset. We won’t mind paying a little more and will all leave with a great experience. We will then be looking forward to coming back. Until that happens I will not be back. I have played here for many years, and it is sad that this course is no longer in my rotation. I hope things change and am hopeful I will be able to update my review to reflect how good this course can be.
Need marshals!!
Took over an hour and a half to get through 3 holes. Round ended up being over 5 hours. Called the clubhouse multiple times but they just make excuses and won’t send out a marshal.
Too flipping Slow
7 minute tee times and a 5 hour round. Waited every hole...
Pace of play ruined the round
Teed off at 1:30 and couldn’t even finish 18 because of pace of play. Took almost 3 hours to finish the front 9.
