About
Located just minutes from downtown Canton, The Quarry Golf Club was built on the site of an old quarry that dates back to the 1800s. The location provides a dramatic landscape featuring cliffs that stretch over 100 feet, meandering streams, and deep-water lakes. The golf course utilizes the natural diverse features of the terrain, which lends each hole a unique character. Despite being an old quarry, there are many mature trees that line the fairways. Rocky outcroppings and native grasses border the gently undulating greens and water also comes into play frequently. It's a golf course that demands accuracy and you may find that you need to use all the clubs in your bag. The tee shots can seem intimidating initially but the landing areas are more generous than they appear.

Challenging
The course was challenging. The free booklet they gave us helped a lot with tips on each hole. The course was well marked on where the next hole was. Staff super friendly.

One of Ohio's Best
Great course, the 125 payment was because it was a tour event. Believe this course is usually around 60. Course was in great shape tee to fairway. Very challenging course. Having knowledge going into the round is a must as there are some blind tee shots an knowing how far you can or cant hit it is a huge help. Par 3 tee boxes were in good shape, fairways were in great shape along with the greens. Enjoyed my round very much an provides as much as a challenge as any course in Ohio. I will be back to play.

Typical overhyped overpriced course with rude staff
First off I find it unbelievable that during this Covid crisis they are actually charging extra if you want your own cart. Staff not wearing masks and was made to feel like an idiot for even asking for an extra cart. Being that there are 25 phenomenal courses within 20 miles of this place you would think there was some kind of customer service.....but nope. Then there is the pace of play, 5.25 hours to play on a Wednesday at 10 am with no ranger in site. Only play this course if you get the 30 price tag, no where near worth the 60-70 they try to charge. Will not return.

With so many golfers looking to get out, we are working very hard to maintain social distancing while accommodating everyone who visits our course. We are doing everything we can to allow our guests the chance to complete their rounds and finish in a reasonable amount of time. Fun course, great views
First time playing the Quarry. Was greeted cheerfully as we arrived at the club drop. Went to check in at the Pro Shop and enjoyed the conversation with the manager at the register and the pro. Gave some good insight into the course and what to expect. Course conditions were good. Greens rolled true but a little slower than I'm used to. Plenty of tee boxes to choose from. Fairways were well kept with a few exceptions. GPS was accurate but could use some narrative as to aim points on several blind shots. Just some pro tips as to where best to place your shots would have been extremely helpful. The only negative about our round was the maintenance staff, but to be clear it was the younger kids on the maintenance staff. I'm not easily rattled, but it felt like every other tee box or green or fairway there was some kid zipping around the corner on the maintenance vehicle in the middle of a back swing or putt. Just have a little bit of courtesy for God's sake. Having said that, I enjoyed my round with my dad for his birthday and the hour drive down from Cuyahoga County was worth the trip.

One of Ohio's Best
Pick your toes carefully since it gets really difficult the further back you go. I played the blues at just over 6300 yards and that was about right for my 12 handicap. Tee boxes could have used a bit more grooming and the greens were a little slow but rolled true.

Nice layout
Always enjoy playing The Quarry. The only recommendation I have is trimming the trees and brush in front of the tee boxes that have high elevation (ex. #15). The trees and brush don’t allow you to see the ball flight.

Very playable, but not easy
Very nice course, was pleasantly surprised. A couple easy birdie holes but also a couple of fantastic holes. The course is very visually intimidating off the tee, but don't be fooled as there is much more room than it appears. Also, there are often bailout areas off the tee that can't be seen. Course is well maintained and staff is very friendly.

This course has everything. Elevation, blind landing spots, risk reward shots, great greens. Beautiful course and will continue to come back.

nice course
very scenic lots of elevated views greens were a little slow fairways pretty good some drainage problems very tough course but worth playing

Met Expectations
I booked this course as it popped up on the top 10 best public Ohio courses. My playing partner said I would enjoy it and he was right. Great layout with some really cool elevation changes. Nice variety of tee boxes to accommodate skill levels. Good food and beverage and staff very friendly. My only complaint was the inconsistent bunker and green conditions.
