Fox Hopyard Golf Club

First time playing and the staff and course were both excellent...totally worth the hour and 30 minute drive...only drawback was beverage cart service...we saw the cart on the 2nd hole and never saw her again even though we were told there were 2 carts out there...would definitely go back

I have golf in every state in the USA & this course ranks in my top 10 now.

Just beginning golf again in CT. now that winter is gone. Course was in decent shape considering the grass really hasn't started to grow yet. Greens were fast if you were above the hole. You couldn't really get a true roll because of recent aeration.

This course is a must play very challenging and lightning quick greens

This is my first round of golf this year playing at Fox Hopyard Golf Course. It was a rainy day but still had a nice round of golf. It was a “Hot Deal” and morning tee time. We were pleasantly greeted by the cart attendant at the bag drop off point, and checked in at the Pro Shop. The Pro Shop representative was pleasant and accommodating. The course was in great shape for early Spring. The tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in good condition. The bunkers were recently raked and the golf cart was clean and super comfortable. My wife and I finished our round in 3 hours.

I have enjoyed playing this course in the past. It has a great layout and kept in great shape. This year they seemed to have adopted a new pricing policy. They charge top dollar for off season rates. They no longer offer "Hot Deal" value rates. Maybe they're pressuring you to buy a Fox Pass card. That allows you to play for $75., which is still way above their Hot Deal rates from last year.

It is a challenge to play golf in mid-October in CT. There was a frost delay and we were able to start 30 minutes later than our original tee time. The course was in great shape. A lot of challenging tee boxes and pin placements as you would expect for this time of year.

Love the course , Staff proffesional and friendly. Restaurant and bar awesome. Little pricy to play a lot but will go every year

Fox Hopyard and crumpin Fox are top notch public championships courses. Staff is great. All services and good practice area. Course is in good condition for this late in the season

Weather was perfect to play a great course like this place. Greens were perfect and true. One of the best layouts in CT. Fairways were prestine. Just pricey but you get what you pay for so I’m satisfied.

I love playing this course. It is always in great conditions. The course itself is a fun and challenging course that always makes you want to play again and again.

Fox Hopyard is a fabulous course. The layout is very interesting, challenging but fair at all levels. I took a cart but I normally walk ( it was in the 90’s the day I played) it did seem as if it would be a challenging walk, not overly hilly but there are some long walks between holes. The condition of the course, range and putting green are top notch and the entire staff wonderful and friendly

Best course in the area. Very tough course. If you're not hitting well you'll probably go through a lot of balls. I definitely recommend this and definitely play it again.
