Pleasantly Surprised!
Played here for the 1st time. I’ve read mixed reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, the course is a little dry due to the drought, but the greens were fantastic. Smooth and quick. The layout is very golfer friendly. Mix of challenging, and easy holes. Nice landing areas and the renovated greens are shaped nicely without any monster undulations. Better than most courses at this price point in the area. Back 9 is more scenic than the front but overall a nice place to play. We played on a Saturday in 4:15 with minimal waiting. Will definitely be back!
Over priced
The staff is super friendly. The clubhouse is great. The driving range is great. Layout was OK. Conditions of the green weren’t so hot. it’s overpriced.
Pace of play was unexceptional. Course was good considering the drought. The restaurant was great. Staff was very personable & the food very good.
Slow pace of play
Overall then purse is great. We had a group ahead of us that had 2 open holes in front of them. This caused a back up at every hole. The group behind us call the pro shop they sent out a ranger that watched the group in front of everyone and just drove off. Playing with two members and if I was a member someone would be getting an ear full.
What a great Place!
We‘ve played there for the first time and we have been very satisfied with everything! We enjoyed the course as well as the great conditions. I highly recommend to play there.
Underrated Course
This course is more difficult than their rating and slope. We teed off late in the day at 2:16. As a foursome, we could have played in 3:30 but without a ranger present, we got stuck behind a slow and inconsiderate foursome.
Peak Season Good Value and decent layout
Being peak season in SWFL most courses want $100+ to play. Many do not warrant that kind of green fee as the courses are in poor condition. Yes many Florida courses are flat and boring. You will enjoy T C at Westminster as it has a variety of simple holes and challenging holes. The greens are of very good speed and true, bunkers are decent and tees and fairways are also above average for a semi private course. When you can get on this course for $65 - $80 it’s well worth it.
Interesting layout
WE had a late T Time of 2:16 and were concerned we wouldn't finish 18 , but the pace was excellent, managed to get all 18 in , 3:45
I've played this course before and really enjoy it. Some challenging holes with enough trouble to keep you on your toes .From water hazards to elevated greens and strategically placed sand bunkers makes for lots of fun.
Doesn't disappoint.
