Good value for the money.
I like golfing at Westminster. It is close to where I live, I love the 19th hole and I like all of the staff that work at Westminster. However, it looks like many of the greens have been attacked by a grass virus. They are in poor shape but that is something I can work with.
You get what you pay for.
I live near this course and play here in the winter when all other courses are too expensive. Randomly decided to play in the summer, and what a mess. The course is in terrible shape, and the greens couldn't get worse. It's not summer maintenance either, but one might think so. The greens are like putting on the surface of the moon - bumps and cracks in the soil, holes, divots. I've played here a dozen times over the years and this was far and away the worst experience. That said, it was $30 to play.
Layout is good, fairways were good, Greens were beyond terrible.
Inexpensive
Fairways were in decent shape. Greens were nothing short of horrible. Friendly staff but the most appealing part of the course is the price to play.
Greens need work
They told me they aerated the greens 2 weeks ago. While I expected punches holes and a little sand, these greens looked dead with large patches of dirt all over the place.
If this is just a maintenance issue that's under repair cool, if this is how it normally is then these greens aren't acceptable
Course is in terrible condition
Have played there a few times and the course was not great. However, this time the course was in horrible condition with many greens not playable at all. Do not waste your time or money here
Worst Greens Ever!
Worst greens I’ve seen in SW Florida. Played four holes to see if they got any better and they didn’t. Unplayable! Pro Shops response was “you get what you pay for”. Take my advice and don’t get enticed by the cheap green fees. It’s not worth playing there at any price.
Great Course with Atrocious Greens
The course itself is fun, the fairways/rough are well kept, and Westminster generally offers excellent value for its price, However, the greens were atrocious. Putting was like playing Plinko with all the dead spots covering each green. No idea what happened, because I don't recall them ever being like that before. I won't play there again until greens are fixed
Greens
The course has a nice layout. The greens were in very bad shape. I talked to the golf ranger and he said they are working on it. Once the greens are repaired I think the course is awesome. The staff was very friendly.
Virgin golf player
My friend asking to go play golf with him and I’ve never played before I had a great time there and I will come back
Club at Westminster
I really wouldn’t go to this course again if they hosted a US Open. Greens were not even playable. Nice staff but terrible pace of play combined with worse course conditions I’ve ever seen & I couldn’t recommend this to my worst enemy. Go elsewhere
