Course needs work
The course needs a lot of work. The greens are pathetic. The course was recently purchased by The Club At Gateway. They have miles to go in order to bring this course back to life..
Decent value, greens need help
First off in the morning, playing solo, so nice fast round. Just what I wanted to work on my driver. I like the course layout, forgiving but decent design. Par 3's are tough from blue tees. Several of the greens are in rough shape. Tees and fairways ok. Decent value.
Nice course
This was a nice course. Not too difficult. Greens need work. Looked like work was being done.
Needs Work
Restricted to cart path and rough, but was much easier than just cart path only. Some wet spots. Greens were baldin spots, rough in other spots and weedy in other spots. Once the greens heal it will be much better. Cart path still have lots of pot holes. Course would look much better with new pavement or sandy paths.
Good for seniors
The course has many tee boxes for all levels of players. The layout is fairly easy and the cost is low this time of year. The only real negative are the greens. They are working on them, but they need A LOT of TLC.
Correction
The review previously left was for the wrong course. This was a fantastic course, especially for the price. Wish pace of play was enforced a bit more. But overall, very enjoyable experience and will definitely be playing again!!
Good Value Course
So here's the deal... Is the course in amazing shape? No. But is it as bad as some other reviews are making it seem? Absolutely not. It's a scenic course that has clearly defined tee boxes, fairways and greens. Could use a little work, but is certainly playable and especially for the price. Alligators everywhere... including some big ones... which I found pretty cool, even as a Floridian. I'd play here again. The team is pretty welcoming too. Would rate 3.5 if I could.
Rough course
The course is in awful condition. The fairways are mush and the greens are almost unplayable. The sand traps are full of water and haven't been groomed in a long time. It will be months before this course is even close to being ok.
Great course!!
Awesome course! Had a great time playing. Fairways and tee boxes were in great condition. A few greens were a little rough but should be grown back in soon! Definitely going back. One of my favorite courses in Ft Myers area!
