Palmilla Golf Club - The Arroyo/Mountain Course
About
Overlooking the Sea of Cortez, the One&Only Palmilla Golf Club offers a stunning 27-hole course designed by Jack Nicklaus. The course is divided into three nines that are named after the defining features of their landscape. They are played in three different 18-hole combination, providing golfers with a different experience on the front and back nines. The Arroyo/Mountain Course has the most dramatic elevation changes of the three golf courses and also some of the best views. The seventh hole on the front nine proves "Arroyo" to be an apt name for the course. This 560-yard hole plays alongside one that is deep and intimidating. The back nine, the Mountain Course, is a diverse layout with holes of varying lengths as well as plenty of sand and water.

The ocean nine might be the most scenic of the three loops at Palmilla. Photo submitted by JasonDeeganGA on 02/12/2014
Downhill
Are used to like to play this course but there are a lot of weeds and poor grass in the fairways and there are a lot of strange hole layouts almost like they didn’t have enough room for some of the holes. I hadn’t played in a while I wanted to give it a try again but there are better golf courses for similar money
Nice Golf Course
Nice layout. Keep out of the arroyo. Really hot in July - played in the afternoon. Driving range was closed. Beverage cart missed us on the back nine.
Cabo golf
Nice course. Beautiful surroundings and excellent shape for the course. Driving range was closed so you could only chip and putt. Ocean course was aerated fairways and greens so we okay arroyo and mountains. Fun course no pace of play issues. Bev cart girls came around a ton. Food was good at the turn. Staff was super friendly and helpful when we needed a taxi.
Fun Course in Cabo!
Had a good time playing here, got out ahead of a large group of youngsters and played as a single with my wife riding along. Caught up to a two some so it slowed things down some but overall it was a fun day!! I shot well and enjoyed the course.
Vacation Golf
Played the One and Only. Ocean course was closed due to reconstruction. No all inclusive deal. Practice range was closed even though it was included in the purchase. Staff is very friendly. Course layout is nice but the greens were dry. You’re paying extra because it’s a resort golf course. Got an ok deal but still not worth it in the end imo. Won’t be returning here. Would rather pay a little extra and get all inclusive package elsewhere.
Decent Course
The course was in pretty good shape and not a bad place to play. Pretty easy course and good for a group with people that don't play often. It would be a 4-star course but for the lack of customer service and amenities is really what sets this course apart from its peers in Cabo. When we teed off, we were told there was a cart girl going around so didn't need to grab drinks before. We played the front 9 and no sight of the cart girl. At the turn, she was just hanging out at the clubhouse. We stopped at the walk-up bar for drinks but the starter came over rudely yelling (literally yelling) that we couldn't stop at the turn and forced us to play on (even though the group behind us was still teeing off on 9 - and, turns out, no one was behind us on the back 9 at any point). We finally got our first cocktails on hole 15 when the cart girl showed up. Definitely not expected when playing a course at a vacation destination (plus we were on a bachelor party so that's even less ideal). Most of the other Cabo courses have much better service for the same price. I would recommend looking elsewhere if you can find availability (Cabo Real, Cabo del Sol, etc.)
