Palmilla Golf Club - The Ocean/Arroyo Course
About
Jack Nicklaus designed the 27-hole course at the One&Only Palmilla Golf Club. The golf course is divided into three nines that are played in different 18-hole combinations. The courses wind through endless cacti and through deep arroyos, a landscape that Nicklaus fully utilized. He gave each a unique character, naming them after their defining characteristics. The Ocean/Arroyo Course starts you off with incredible views of the shimmering blue waters of the Sea of Cortez. Each hole on the front nine offers a different, but equally scenic view of the ocean. The gently sloping Ocean nine has large greens that can be tricky but they are balanced by wide, player-friendly fairways. The back nine features more dramatic elevation changes, especially on the intimidating 16th hole, which plays alongside a deep and foreboding arroyo.

The ocean nine might be the most scenic of the three loops at Palmilla. Photo submitted by JasonDeeganGA on 02/12/2014
Pricey but worth it
Pricey, busy holiday weekend, but amazingly beautiful desert course. Amazing views
Arroyo/Mountain
First time playing this course. As a single I got a great rate on Golf Now. Would definitely recommend and definitely play this course again. Would have liked to play the Ocean nine.
Enjoyed my day at Palmilla
Enjoyed pace of play. Course well maintained.
Is Cabo Golf becoming to expensive?
Playing golf in the Cabo area has always been good and the Palmilla course is one of my favourites. I’ve been playing here for more than 20 years. The cost of golf however has increased dramatically over the last several years and it really is reaching a point where the average tourist will not be able to afford to play without going to a timeshare presentation. A hot deal at $175US per person is only heating my wallet and many of us avid golfers will be looking at other destinations to stay and play.
Pamilla was awesome!
Excellent in every way!

I believe that when I had booked the course on line I had picked Ocean and mountain courses. But when we checked in we were booked on Arroyo and Mountain courses. And we could not switch as the staff said that they were very busy. It did not appear to me that way. Disappointed.
Nice Design
Played Arroyo/Mountain on a deal time in October. A nice course with a good layout and some great views. Fairways were generous albeit a little scruffy. Greens seemed spongy and soft and need to be sped up as they were rolling way too slow, not sure if it was due to the time of year or just recovering from fall maintenance. Overall glad I got the deal time and would like to play this course again in better condition.
