Convenient and most economical
My girlfriend and I stayed at Vidanta and had planned to golf while here. We are both mid/high handicappers. This course offered the best value for us. Nothing special about the course. Fairways are very forgiving. Bunker sand was kind of gritty. Greens were sandy or furry. We had to use a forecaddy who was a great guy (ask for Gabriel). He offered putting reads and was a huge help just navigating the cart path which was not always obvious. Not sure the forecaddy was worth the expense but that is a part of the deal. We live in Oregon so we were just appreciative of dry warm golf. If you want Pebble Beach not your course, but if you want to enjoy some weather and hack it up like me…it was pretty darn good.
Forward ladies tees provide good way to ease into playing in PV's hot humid weather. Fun to see iguana. Always enjoy having a caddie. PV caddies are very reasonable and good. Mosquitoes!
BTW, I am 84 yrs young, health handicapped woman who loves to golf (solo or "new friends") and traveling around the world to play amazing beautiful golf parks.
Bad experience
First, if you are not aware, it is a long distance to the pro shop, a cart takes us there, then we take a cart and go to the golf course which is far away. Allow time.
We were very disappointed because they forced us to have a caddy with us, without warning.
It’s not mentioned on their website. Additional $70 for Caddy.
The caddy did not speak English and hung on to our cart without introducing himself, I could not understand anything he was saying.
Excellent golf in Nuevo Vallarta area!
Vacation rounds at Vidanta and played both the Greg Norman and Nayar courses. Nayar was definitely the easier of the 2 with a more "resort style" feel on the layout and scenery.
Highly recommend grabbing a round on Golf Now as pricing for a hot deal was exceptional!
Caddy is required and absolutely necessary to be able to navigate the property acreage at Vidanta... we had Luis our first round and requested him again for our second :)
Our only "issue" was the lack of amenities on the course - restrooms, water stations, and frequency of the beverage cart for snacks and refills :)
Fun Course. 1st class operation.
Course was solid, fun layout. Caddy Willy was fantastic! He Easily shaved 8 strokes off my round with his knowledge of course layout and greens!
Excelente campo
Vistas magníficas al jugar, un campo bastante amplio y en perfectas condiciones para juego
Lamentable situación
Espere más de 1 hora para que me
Asignaran Caddie y no sucedió, así que no pude salir al campo y me
Suspendieron el te time
Surprise, Surprise!
I got a great hot deal at Vidanta Nayar and overall had a great experience. I took an Uber to the course no problem but beware you cannot take Uber to get out of the course. Uber is not allowed on the property to pick you up. All the staff are great from the pro shop to the starter. The second surprise was at the pro shop where I first learned that caddies are mandatory on the Nayar course. Every t-time has to have a caddy and it is currently 800 pesos split amongst the foursome, threesome or twosome. It has to be paid in cash at the end of the round. They have a bank machine right in the pro shop in case you’re short of pesos. The caddy is a good idea though, because without it, you would never know where you were going on the course. If it’s your first time there be prepared for a maze of paths winding through the property. Make sure you get there with plenty of time to spare because when you get dropped off by your Uber/taxi you need to then take a shuttle to get to the pro shop and that takes a bit of time. I still had lots of time to warm up on the range and they have an excellent putting and chipping area as well. your caddy joined you on the range and then you’re off to play. even with the “surprises” I’m still glad I went.
Good for the price in Mexico.
Played vidanta nayar, course was in great condition. Beers were exspensive but to be expected in Mexico. Got a great deal on golf now. Would tell you what I paid but I might never get that deal again. Hopefully playing the Norman next round, apparently a better track.
Vidanta better organized this year than last year!
Last year it took us 40 minutes to get from the security gate to the pro shop. This time, we got picked up by a shuttle immediately! Unfortunately, we were now early because of the previous year fiasco. Once again, they had no golf carts due to the 5 hour plus rounds on the Norman course. We ended up parked with no cart at the driving range waiting for our tee time. The Nayer course was obviously mostly an older track, but fun to play. Our caddie (Jose) was a great green reader and the course was in decent shape for this time of year. My wife and I both shot in the 70s. We also got a smoking good deal on the green fee from GolfNow!
A MUST PLAY WHILE IN PV
A GREAT TRACK TO TEST YOUR SKILLS ON VERY WELL MAINTAINED
Layout
It seems like they forgot that they needed space for 18 holes. We drove what seemed like 2 miles to play 7 and 8 then drove back to play 9. Very odd.
