Hard Rock Golf Club Riviera Maya
About
The Hard Rock Golf Club Riviera Maya (formerly known as The Golf Club at Playacar) offers the perfect combination of natural beauty and the work of man. This magnificient golf course, carved out of the dense Mayan Jungle is only a few hundred yards away from the crystal-clear, turquoise ocean and the fine white sands of the Mexican Caribbean Sea.
The intelligent architectural design of the golf course has converted Playa del Carmen into one of the most popular tourism destinations in all of Mexico.

Great track
It’s a little pricey if your not local but the all over value is great. Unlimited food and drink while you play.Speedy Gonzales the cart attendant was a real treat,he was really fast and very entertaining. Course has a couple very long holes for this old guy but overall a fun course. My only complaint is that no warning about sanded greens. All good, still had a blast.Watch your food on some of the holes, the Coati’s will swarm your cart looking for food.Enjoy
Sorry about my wife’s crappie videotaping
Nice course, just way to expensive now days
Have played this course several times over last 10 years and when it was $50, it was a good deal, but now they want $200. The amenities aren’t That good. As long as you can hit straight, the course is not that tough.
$$$$ Nice course - staff not 2 friendly
$180 weekday at 9:30, course in great shape. Never saw refreshment cart on front side & very hot. Staff was pretty un-enthusiastic. They have shortened up back 9 on 2 holes due to new hotel. Went from tough back 9 to so-so.
Price is up a lot.
Travel guru
This is by far the toughest golf course in the area. Each requires very careful shot planning and straight off the tee, position is everything to make the green in regulation. Jungle on both side of the fairway or water or sand, it's better to tee off with an iron or 3 wood on the short par 4, most holes are dogleg and par 5's double dog legs. I've played this course for 20 years and it's still the toughest most demanding course I've played. From the tips it will make you cry if you don't drive the ball at least 240 and straight. Course was in great shape with average greens. It's all inclusive so food and drinks are complimentary with the round. Bring balls as they charge close to $100 for a dozen or go to Costco or Wal-Mart before your round.
Value for moneu
This is the closest course to Playa del Carmen. Minimal travel time makes it good value. Good layout with some challenge.
Fun course but bring your own balls
Overall the course and experience was great my only issue was the price of golf balls. I expected a little more than I would pay normally but $98 for a dozen balls is a bit ridiculous.
Great course
Good course, good layout and good condition. Great course and general but pretty difficult course. And all is included in the price so that's very nice
Great course, a bit soggy from rain
They did a great job after 2 days of flooding rain. Course was in good shape water in a few areas and staff, food and drinks were excellent!
Father’s Day present from my wife!
A bit too pricey, but the all inclusive helps a bit.
Amazing value
Loved this course, staff was amazing. First time I played an all inclusive course, lunch liquor all included.
Good course, just not as advertised
The course layout is definitely challenging and fun. (Sometimes the former exceeds the latter.) The staff are friendly and helpful. The pace of play (8:17 tee time) was great, at under four hours.
Lots of wildlife that isn’t shy at all. The coati will get really close for some great pictures.
Be advised that the included “premium” liquor is absolutely not premium. The golf carts do not have GPS (and are pretty beat-up).
Still a good experience overall. I just played Playa Paraiso four days prior and the experience was quite different for exactly the same price ($220/player + $50 for clubs)
Nice Value
Course was in good shape. All inclusive was the right way to go. Staff was great and helpful.
Great deal through Golf Now
Challenging course. Drinks and food included. Great staff!!!!
Tough fun course with great amenities.
Played on a discounted $81 rate at 1215 on Friday as a single. Played the front 9 in an hour and then it was backed up on the back 9. So I asked to play the front 9 again and was joined by one of their members. Great guy and fun to play with.
Food and drink service great at this all-inclusive course.
I play every time I’m in Playa Del Carmen.
