The Golf Club at Dove Mountain - Saguaro/Tortolita
About
The Golf Club at Dove Mountain features 27 challenging holes that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Saguaro/Tortolita golf course is naturally named after its beautiful landscape of centuries-old Saguaro cacti nestled at the base of the Tortolita Mountain Range. The golf course meanders though desert washes covered in native flora and fauna. There are large greens that feature plenty of movement. The par-3 third hole on the Tortolita nine has the highest elevation of any at the golf club. There are also strategically placed fairway bunkers and a few forced carries.

review
The greens were plush and smooth and very slow. The rest of the course was in bad shape. Fairways lack grass coverage, you had more to work with if you were in the rough.
Good golf, hot weather
Mid day summer round, tolerable with lots of water in small cooler provided.
Course in nice shape, watered and green. Bunkers a bit hard (some) others perfect and challenging.
Staff friendly and helpful. Summer rains will make it better (if they arrive).
Excellent layout designed by Nicholaus which gives ample landing areas and many bunkers to avoid.
Lots of fun, play the right tees for enjoyment.
Excellent Views and Even Better Greens
This course was quite challenging but enjoyable. The mountainside views are also a plus. The greens were excellently maintained. Considering the little rain fall over the past few months I was pleasantly surprised by the up keep and greenery. The staff was courteous, knowledgeable and helpful.
Great time
Course conditions were perfect. Greens were awesome.
Wonderful Day
Enjoyed every aspect of the experience.
Staff was excellent and anticipatory.
Most beautiful natural vistas
Always friendly. Course in beautiful shape. Landscape with cactus unbelievable.
Amazing design
Natural desert beauty, mixed with a fitting design that challenges the golfer. We’ll maintained and good value.
weather
it got up to 109 and at the airport it broke 112 setting a new record, other then that the day was amazing, i started my round at 11:07am and finished at 3:05pm, i had plenty of water with me and the course provides water and coolers with ice on the carts, so it wasnt too bad. just freakin HOT
where’s the water
Fantastic course, but how can you have no water available when it’s 112 degrees. Completely unacceptable. Cart service ends at 11:30 so if you don’t have water or ice after that you are out of luck. I would expect more from a high end golf course
Going Downhill a Bit
First time in over a year. Course getting a bit less kept up. Biggest compliant today? Over 95 degrees and not one water cooler anywhere.
