Whitestone Golf Course
About
Long and susceptible to the wind, White Stone Golf Club rolls through an impressive Hill Country-like setting with huge oak trees, lots of rocks, and loads of native oaks, cacti, yucca, and wildflowers.
Bunkers are everywhere on this 7,100-yard Jeff Brauer design, and water comes into play on about seven holes. The key to scoring well is keeping the ball below the hole, avoiding nasty downhill putts on the extremely fast greens. White Stone's par 5s are tough, and average golfers should probably play them conservatively and be happy just getting there in three, since three out of four are fronted by hazards and require carries.
On the front nine, no. 1 tests you early -- it’s a 555-yarder with a creek that crosses the fairway and forces a layup on the second shot. No. 9 is nice as well, a 360-yarder that should be played with a short iron to lay up in front of the creek. This hole features a nice dip in the center of the green that requires knowing the correct pin placement.
White Stone Golf Club's back starts strong like the front, opening with a 580-yard par 5 with a sloping fairway that is cut by the creek on two occasions. No. 11 is the best par 3 on the golf course -- a 200-yarder that plays dow hill over a creek and into a creek surrounded by bunkers.

Great course
I highly recommend this course. Great amenities and value for the money. My only complaint is that the bunkers were pretty bad. Other than that, everything else was great.
Great Course
I knew it was going to be a good day as soon as I parked and was met by one of the staff offered a ride and grabbed my clubs to the club house. The course is in great condition. Greens are quick and fairways nice an green. Complementary water in the cooler and cold towels at the turn. Cannot beat it for the price. Would play here every week if I could
Definitely Recommend
I'm going to give this an excellent review. 10 out of 10 course to go play and play again. The only two minor things negative I will say is, we are in Texas and its summer time. I didn't see any water stations along the course and I know I played in the evening time but not one cart girl was driving around for drinks. Outside of this, I absolutely love this course and wish I could get a membership here, because I would want to play it every week. Staff is great, prices are great, greens are in good shape, it's close to my house and it's a great place to hunt for balls if you have the time. lol.
What can I say
I can’t think of anything negative to say about Whitestone. My son and I drive from north east Ft Worth to play. We are usually paired with a couple golfers but it’s always a good time. The course is in beautiful condition and a few very challenging holes. Wide fairways makes a good lie for most shots. Nice carts with ice cold water in the cooler, tees and a towel. All staff I’ve spoken with are very friendly and golfer oriented. Driving range
has cold water and some great rocking chairs to sit back in.
Pace of play
The pace of play here is horrendous we were stuck behind a group of 4 taking mulligans almost every swing and a round took 5.5 hours there’s no marshal and they don’t try to keep pace at all if you’re reading this please never play this course go play somewhere better for the price the quality is the same as a muni
“We are not big on singles”
This is the quote and attitude you get in the pro shop when you play here. If you are alone, the treatment is not welcoming rather one of inconvenience. I felt apologetic that I was playing alone. They make it clear that you need to play with someone even if it is wide open. Why? I am paying you for the round and I will not hold anyone up. Unlike the fivesome that teed off right after me. 5 is ok, 1 is not.. so a shame because it is a really great track with excellent greens. I now try to avoid this course which I would otherwise play frequently. Be better!
Excellent day all around
Everything was quite good about this round. The course conditions, layout, pace of play and value were all excellent. Whitestone has really picked it up as far as conditions and general customer service. Even provided water bottles packed in ice on the carts. Really great day of golf all around!!
Best value in DFW
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food and drinks were great and well priced, and the course was in great condition. The value here is the best I have seen in DFW. Highly recommend!
Favorite course in Fort Worth area
One of the best if not the best course in the Fort Worth area for the price. Not crazy overpriced still a good number but worth it by far. No one likes the cart path only days but doesn’t feel like a marathon on this course even when going opposite side of fairway of cart path. Will be back as long as I’m golfing.
Best in the south west
Whitestone is the best public course for the money in the area. The greens are fantastic always and they’re consistently doing things to make that course better. Great job Whitestone
