About
Long and susceptible to the wind, White Stone Golf Club rolls through an impressive Hill Country-like setting with huge oak trees, lots of rocks, and loads of native oaks, cacti, yucca, and wildflowers.
Bunkers are everywhere on this 7,100-yard Jeff Brauer design, and water comes into play on about seven holes. The key to scoring well is keeping the ball below the hole, avoiding nasty downhill putts on the extremely fast greens. White Stone's par 5s are tough, and average golfers should probably play them conservatively and be happy just getting there in three, since three out of four are fronted by hazards and require carries.
On the front nine, no. 1 tests you early -- it’s a 555-yarder with a creek that crosses the fairway and forces a layup on the second shot. No. 9 is nice as well, a 360-yarder that should be played with a short iron to lay up in front of the creek. This hole features a nice dip in the center of the green that requires knowing the correct pin placement.
White Stone Golf Club's back starts strong like the front, opening with a 580-yard par 5 with a sloping fairway that is cut by the creek on two occasions. No. 11 is the best par 3 on the golf course -- a 200-yarder that plays dow hill over a creek and into a creek surrounded by bunkers.

nice and challenging course
Their have a friendly staff and the course is in great shape, the pace of play is good and it have some challenging holes.
Unwarranted Price Hikes
Having played the course 30+ times I do agree that there have been significant course improvements. Greens and bunkers are in much better shape. These improvements don’t justify almost doubling their rates. The fairways are still shabby with thin lies. Along with a few unplayable spots on some holes with rocky patches and standing water/mud regularly. The clubhouse needs to be entirely re-done and there is almost never a beverage cart. The driving range is hacked to bits and the pins/targets are not on a level surface.

Whitestone Golf Course
Enjoyed playing as the course was in great condition considering that it is mid-December. Did not hit into any bunkers but they looked great, especially when you know how bad they were last year. Management has done an excellent job of improving the course.

Great course
Course conditions and layout are excellent. Challenging but still quite fair and playable. Holes are designed well with respect to the natural elevations of the land, blending the rustic with modern course design. Lots of quality sand in large bunkers. Grass and fairways well mowed and maintained, slightly soft and supple ground allowed for some of the best iron shots I've hit in a while. A very enjoyable and satisfying course to play.

Great shape
This course was in awesome shape great value for the money. Did tell me they were punching their greens, but this course has some drivable par 4 split fair ways. Will be playing here again

Whitestone
Surpised. Last time I played here the course was in horrible shape. Today, was very playable. There are still a few weird holes, drivable par 4s, odd par 5s, and a 600 yard par 5 where you can not miss the green. Still, it wasnt intolerable. Course was in good shape, so all good.

I play this course several times a year. Now that all the bunkers have been re done, it's now a excellent course all around. Love playing here.

The greens and fairways are in great shape. Most of the bunkers have been fixed after previous management let them go. Just a few more bunkers left to fix.
