About
Long and susceptible to the wind, White Stone Golf Club rolls through an impressive Hill Country-like setting with huge oak trees, lots of rocks, and loads of native oaks, cacti, yucca, and wildflowers.
Bunkers are everywhere on this 7,100-yard Jeff Brauer design, and water comes into play on about seven holes. The key to scoring well is keeping the ball below the hole, avoiding nasty downhill putts on the extremely fast greens. White Stone's par 5s are tough, and average golfers should probably play them conservatively and be happy just getting there in three, since three out of four are fronted by hazards and require carries.
On the front nine, no. 1 tests you early -- it’s a 555-yarder with a creek that crosses the fairway and forces a layup on the second shot. No. 9 is nice as well, a 360-yarder that should be played with a short iron to lay up in front of the creek. This hole features a nice dip in the center of the green that requires knowing the correct pin placement.
White Stone Golf Club's back starts strong like the front, opening with a 580-yard par 5 with a sloping fairway that is cut by the creek on two occasions. No. 11 is the best par 3 on the golf course -- a 200-yarder that plays dow hill over a creek and into a creek surrounded by bunkers.

A Little Birdie
I’ve heard lots of good things about this course when spring time come around and personally it didn’t live up to the hype. The tee boxes weren’t in great shape, but they were fine! The fairways were bare in several spots. I don’t have much knowledge on how to treat a golf course, but I don’t think they overseeded and I believe they cut the fairways to short and they’re suffocating the grass from growing well. The greens had just been punched recently, but honestly they’ll be in great shape in a couple weeks! They looked phenomenal. Whitestone is a decent course to play with friends and family, but personally not my favorite. I will continue playing here as long as friends invite me though. I do enjoy the quiet out there!
Do Not Waste Your Time
Played on Saturday, 4/25/2020...had to book online; the greens had been punched and sanded...they sucked! The overall condition of the course was poor. Since we had to book online, I would have appreciated it if the golf course management place a NOTICE ONLINE of their punched and sanded greens. Driving range was not open; practice green was worse than the other greens. Just an absolute crappy day...one that could have been better if we knew the greens sucked. Now, we can't trust the course so we will not be back for this golf season. Too many other nice places to play to worry about sub-standard conditions. Adios

Great shape
Whitestone was in surprisingly good shape and was a very welcome port in this pandemic storm. I’ll be playing it often this year.

Fair Conditions
Greens were aerated and sanded. Greens very slow, had not been mowed. Pace of play was terribly slow.
This was my 2nd time to play this course - 1st time was about 2 wks ago and the conditions were great and the pace of play was good. I like the layout very much - I will be going back when the conditions are improved.

For still winter conditions fairways were decent but the greens were great. Course layout is very fair with several difficult holes, especially the par fives. Played in 3 hours.

A Really Good Value
This is a nice course. The tee boxes and greens were in excellent shape for this time of year. The fairways had just been spiked/punched, but they will be fine when the grass gets going in a week or two.

Good golf day
Played 18 holes course in good shape nice staff only problem we had was a group of four very very slow in front of us. No marshal on course that day I guess. But it was a fun day just slow.

It is good to play when others are scare of bad weather
Even though it was a misty rain for less than one hour, there were very few players in the golf course. The pace of play was excellent, no body behind, no body in front. The wet conditions created an extra challenge. The greens were a little slow but in good conditions. I like to play like this. To play golf it does not need o be 70 degrees and sunny. Al little ray can be tolerated.

Beautiful Course!
I was very impressed by this place. The greens were lightning fast even a day after rain. The fairways were starting to get up earlier than other places around there area. This is definitely a challenge for any golfer! Must play!!

Course was in good shape. Well cared for and maintained. I liked not having cart turn outs so far from the greens. It speeds up play and does not damage fairways.
