About
Long and susceptible to the wind, White Stone Golf Club rolls through an impressive Hill Country-like setting with huge oak trees, lots of rocks, and loads of native oaks, cacti, yucca, and wildflowers.
Bunkers are everywhere on this 7,100-yard Jeff Brauer design, and water comes into play on about seven holes. The key to scoring well is keeping the ball below the hole, avoiding nasty downhill putts on the extremely fast greens. White Stone's par 5s are tough, and average golfers should probably play them conservatively and be happy just getting there in three, since three out of four are fronted by hazards and require carries.
On the front nine, no. 1 tests you early -- it’s a 555-yarder with a creek that crosses the fairway and forces a layup on the second shot. No. 9 is nice as well, a 360-yarder that should be played with a short iron to lay up in front of the creek. This hole features a nice dip in the center of the green that requires knowing the correct pin placement.
White Stone Golf Club's back starts strong like the front, opening with a 580-yard par 5 with a sloping fairway that is cut by the creek on two occasions. No. 11 is the best par 3 on the golf course -- a 200-yarder that plays dow hill over a creek and into a creek surrounded by bunkers.

Needs a lot of work
The tee boxes, greens and bunkers need a lot of attention. The cart girl needs to understand, she has to stop and wait for players to come off the green before she moves to the next hole. I almost passed out with no water and the coolers were empty. She also should be trained that she has to wait until we are finished taking our shots before she whizzes by.

Ok if you can play for under $20
Some of the greens were covered with divots and sand spots that made putting impossible to read and the bunkers were all solid mud.

Hopefully gets better
The course was in decent shape but the greens had a lot to be desired. They were very rough. Sand traps still had quite a bit of standing water in them from recent rains. Person on the Player Assist cart was very rude.

Terrible Greens
Unless you can play here for under $25 it's not really worth it because of the greens. They are basically littered with divot sized marks all over.

Grass
I've seen deserts with greenier grass than Whitestone, also they have lawn mowers running everywhere while your driving or putting

Greens And Bunkers Are Awful.
Bunkers were unplayable from mud and baseball sized rocks scattered throughout waiting to ding your irons... some greens were nearly unplayable as well with coffee can sized circles of dead grass that dropped a half inch into the green scattered everywhere.. making a putt was a shot in the dark.

Not bad for the money.
The greens need some work but over all a fun place to play. Easy course for terrible golfers like myself and my buddies. Nice bartenders too!!!! Ask for Autumn!!!!

Enjoyed playing Whitestone. Several greens not in good shape, but course in reasonable shape otherwise. Very good fairway lies made approach shots easier.

Greens rolled great......very thick, true to most of my reads, tee boxes were in fair condition - with all the rain it was easy to see tee grass was longer than normal. But the fairways were nicely manicured....
New carts....rode great, very comfortable....

course has varying holes
the course has a little of everything wide open narrow and some holes have a lot of bunkers, they do receive a lot of play and fairways do get pretty worn and thin

Good value for the money
Always have a decent time at this course. The only drawback is many beginner golfers play and do not observe proper etiquette. Slow players rarely let you play through and the marshals do not enforce the pace of play.

Not in the greatest of shape
I hadn't played Whitestone in a while. We gave it a go because its close to the house and we found a cheap deal on Golf Now. The course is not in the greatest of shape. In fact Hole No 3 green is obliterated with the greenskeeper's failure to try and kill something. So this green is particularly ugly and patchy.
The other greens are in fairly decent shape.
THere are areas of the course where it just shows that not much money is being spent to keep it up. Dont get me wrong, its not in horrible shape, it plays fine and fair, its just not as nice as it once was.

Tremendous Value
It's a fairly challenging course, but it is very playable for the intermediate skilled player. The fairways were in excellent shape, the greens were in very good shape, but the sand traps Merced work when I played. The staff was also very friendly. Overall, I would highly recommend this course, and I plan to play it anytime I'm in Fort Worth.

Great Value
Probably the best value for money on Fort Worth. Rates are good and it is a fun layout for the course. Right now it's very green because of all the rain but has a tendency to get burnt in summer. Greens are not in as good of shape as last two years so hopefully they fix that. Overal still good!
