Eagle Lakes Golf Club

About
Eagle Lakes Golf Club is situated just minutes from Olde Naples and Marco Island. It lives up to its name, providing a round of golf accompanied by a pair of bald eagles that call this stretch of the Everglades home, along with an abundance of other wildlife. The course design represents classic Florida golf tradition. There is no shortage of water anywhere on this golf course, it comes into play in one form or another on every hole. They may all have water but that might be the only common characteristic they have. Every hole presents a unique challenge. The golf course is wide-open, which also makes it subject to the prevailing winds. Eagle Lakes Golf Club's final hole is a lengthy par 5 with water surrounding the fairway and all along the left side.

How many club lengths should be taken? Photo submitted by Johnflexton2624 on 11/10/2012
Good pace
The pace was very good but I was concerned with the greens. Strange color and some bare spots that caused us to move our balls.
Not worth the money
Charged us 400 for 2 people and the course was NOT worth that. I live in NC and we have 15 courses within an hour drive that are better courses and cost 65 with a cart. The greens looked good but were rolling about 9 (slow) and one of the greend was sanded. The fairways were great. I liked it overall but am here to warn golfers who like fast greens for the price to find a different place.
Not a bad course but terribly slow
We left after 11 holes as it took us nearly 3 hours to play the first 9 and then it didn’t improve on the back 9. They need to be less greedy and space out the tee times more and have more rangers on the course keeping things moving to improve their customers experience. I’ve played here many times and it’s usually slow, but this was the worst. Won’t be returning.
Good value .. course conditions much improved from prior years
Terrible Pace of Play
We play here often but they don’t space out the tee times enough. The 2 guys we were paired with left when we were in the fairway on the first hole and told us that we were in for a 6 hour round. We played 9 holes in 2 hours 50 minutes and left after the 11 hole as we continued to wait 3-5 minutes on every shot. Don’t be so greedy and space out your tee times appropriately to allow your customers to have an enjoyable round of golf.
Nice Value
18 holes, 3:56mn, very good greens and fairways.
Great staff, download the free app for pin and other distances. Nice newer carts.
Pleasant Day of Golf with Friends
Enjoyed the course. Had a great day. Actually saw an American Croc on the course. Fairly rare.
Course is holding up well with the number of rounds played. Couple of greens still need some work.
Friendly, nice pace but not worth the money
Played twice this season with a friend. Conditions were better than last year but they added to the price I got from GolfNow which I thought was strange but we were there and went ahead and played both days. Once in the morning and once in the afternoon on the second day. It was ok but not worth the money.
Golfnow reservation
The pro shop imposes overhead charges that are not explained in the Golfnow confirmation - this is a deceptive practice, in my opinion. One is a service tip and we tipped the service guys directly, better than the imposed fee. Another is a credit card fee - not explained in the email confirmation, and if they want to do that it should be added to the final fee in the confirmation.
Great facility. Challenging water holes.
Great course. Almost every hole is a water hole making it a nice challenge. Course was in good shape. The only thing keeping this from a 5 star rating is the upkeep. To be 5 star, they would need to raise their prices, as their prices seemed fair for the course condition. Nothing against a 4 star course, as you only have to pay 4 star pricing! I look forward to playing here again.
Much improved
I've play Eagle Lakes over the last 15 years and it is in the best shape I've seen but the bar was low.
