Treasure Hills Golf Club
About
Treasure Hills GC is one of the better layouts in the Rio Grande Valley. Built on rolling terrain, the wide fairways present nice targets off the tee, and the elevated greens require taking an extra club every now and then. While not an overbearing factor, water hazards come into play throughout the design.
Getting there : From Hwy 77 driving south, exit on Ed Carey and turn left. When you come to Business 77 turn right, drive down to Trailer Hills Blvd. and turn left. Veer right at the split in the road and turn left on Pinehurst, where you'll see signs to the course.

Good all around fun course
Treasure Hills is an all around fun course to play and through Golfnow is an excellent price value --- probably the best value in the Valley. With 5 tee boxes and if you are man enough you can walk back to the tips and try you lock at 7000 yards. The course layout is fun and forgiving and you will use every club in you bag. I highly recommend giving it a try. You won't be disappointed.
This course is the worst that I have ever played
This course received decent reviews so we decided to give it a try. When we got there, we were already let down. The course had untold bare spots in the fairway and the greens were even worse. The pro shop was nothing to speak about. Even though we didn’t pay very much, that was too much. In some cases, the women’s tee boxes were just cut down rough with two tee markers.
Keep it up.
Course has had improvements with greens keep it up. The sand needs attention around all playing areas. Not a major issue I think a little attention will get it in the right direction.
Good turn around on the course conditions
Great relax location with a lot of improvements to the course condition greens and fairways
Coming along
I was told in Nov/Dec they had lost the greens and the course was in terrible shape. A week ago [Mar. 15] that the greens are back. 3-4 still have problems and a few fairways have bare spots. They have new owners and are working on the course. I will play again next winter when I return. The staff was a lot friendler [same guy] this time. I even made a comment to my playing partner about it. If you are a mid to high handicaper bring some extra balls.
course taking shape
a lot of improvements to get the course in shape has happen since last year keep up the great work
Treasure Hills
Very good course. Plenty of length, but multiple tees so can make adjustments. Weather had been dry, and course was dry. Greens very good, large and undulating, but a little slow, due to dry weather they were cut longer. Sand traps not well maintained. Course is very challenging, and although not in perfect shape, a very good value. One of my favorite courses in the Rio Grande Valley. Play here often when in the area. You can play a nicer course elsewhere, but you will pay a great deal more. Try the course, I think you will be very satisfied.
Nice round of gold
We enjoyed our round...always windy in the Harlingen area, the course was a little dry but you could see they had been watering and trying, just Texas. Course was interesting not bad layout
Needs some work
Not the best course I have played. Many bear spots in the fairways ( not as many in the landing areas). Greens spotty, back 9 much better than the front. But ha when you get a golf now "hot deal" and use a reward and get 2 rounds for $22 it's a great day on the golf course.
