About
Llano Grande Resort is surrounded by palm trees and citrus groves. But no matter how you paint the picture, it's still an 81-acre mobile home and travel trailer park for winter Texans that features an 18-hole "championship" layout with four sets of tees.
While the tips plays at a reasonable 6,781 yards, we recommend that you play the course from the blue tees, which still plays at a respectable 6,387 yards but cuts the par 3s down to mid-short iron range and makes the par 4s very enjoyable. This track gives you the opportunity to start well with a mid-range par 3, but follows it up with one of the most difficult holes on the course, a 416-yard par 4.
Getting there : Take Hwy 83 west and proceed 15 miles to West Road. Take the only turn you can and drive 1.5 miles to Golf Course Road.

Get the grounds cleaned up
The course is infested with fire ants you have to watch where you set your club down where you walk. It’s not a horrible layout, but the greens and the grounds are not very well kept. Could be a wonderful course, but it needs some major attention. On the bright side, the people who work there are excellent as far as polite, courteous friendly, couldn’t ask for nicer people.
Not worth the money
With all the water on this course you would think that the course would be lush and green. Unfortunately the course is built on clay so the fairways are bare with poor grass and the rough is long and easy to loose golf balls. Wide open and no trees or sand?? This course is a $20-$25 at the most. Sorry I won’t be back.
Good course
I played this course for the first time two years ago and it wasn't very good at all to be honest but I gave it another shot last summer to find the course conditions had improved quite a bit so we played it again a few months back to find that yet again it had improved even more in both the clubhouse and the course so we have made it one of our regular courses now and the course just keeps improving. I'd say it went from a 2 star to a 4 star and if they keep the quality heading in the right direction it could be a 5 star in the future.
Great Value nice track
You will find this course has some challenges waiting for you. The green are in good shape and true. The signature. Hole is a par 3 island green hole water in front and on both sides. Short but tough.. I will most definitely play here again and agin. Very friendly staff as well
Golf
We had a tee time booked for Sunday, they called us & let us know there was a slip up & needed to reschedule us for a different day. We were agreeable & made it for 2 days later. Problem that happened was bad weather happened that day. We played 13 holes & had to stop after that. The manager gave us a 9 hole rain check for the 2 of us. We sure appreciated the way they handled our situation.
Great Course
Course is really nice, got confused every now and then with the holes but other than that, it was a really nice course.
Potential outweighs reality
Course is very dry thus average at best. Some tee boxes have no grass and you break your tee putting it in the ground. N
Nice staff and pace of play!
Hot Day
Price is right.
Missing rain, therefore missing grass and hard to use TEE of the ground.
I enjoy my game anyway.
Llano
We had great weather temperature wise but the wind made several of the challenging holes even more challenging. New owners have made the course a lot better than before.
Not the best!
Course has toomany wet areas, either from overwatering, poor monitoring of water cycles, or poor drainage! This has been a problem for many years!
The only reason I went back to this course is because it's just a few yards from me and I need the practice for a much better course!
