Humble Oil Patch Golf Course

It felt like someone made a course out of a field they own. Probably good for kids wanting to try golf or to work on your short game - total yardage about 750 yards for all nine holes!

Golfnow had wrong address listed so I drove to wrong location, then when I finally got there it was strictly a walking course, no carts, would have been nice to know that prior to driving all the way over there. My father on law always comes with me to drive cart, needless to say we didn't golf there.

I played 27 holes in 1.5 hours. You can tee from mats or grass, the grass needs some help in the tee boxes but it is January, so no biggie. The greens were kinda dormant but were smooth and challenging and they are TINY with lots of slope! Sure, the shortest hole is only 45 yards but the green is less than 3 yards deep, so getting on is no gimme. Played the second and third rounds with just my 7 iron and putter. You can think of it as 'demitasse' golf, but it is really golf, make no mistake!

The owner was there, really nice guy, super friendly. Easy access from Eastex Fwy (59). Great value for the money. If you buy two games, you get to play the rest of the day as much as you want, including in-and-out privileges. At $5.50 a round (w/o cart), you cannot beat it!

Had a great time, will return with my 11 year old son, and it will be a match for the ages!!

This is the place to go if you need to practice on your short game. They have a practice green and a driving range also. Staff is super friendly.

If you look at this course as an inexpensive way to work a your short game, you will find this worthwhile. The shortest hole is 45 yards! The longest is just 115!

I need to dial in my wedges, and this sweet par 3 did the trick. If I can ever learn to stick these greens, then I'll be a short game boss! Plus with their rewards card when I buy 5 rounds I get the sixth one free!! This is absolutely the most affordable way to get better at playing the game I enjoy so much.
