The Bridges Golf Club
About
The Fred Couples Signature course is the centerpiece of the Bridges at Preston Crossing. The golf course sprawls across rolling hills that most don't associate with north Texas. Mature trees dot the lush meadows, sliced with ribbons of tall native grasses. The parkland layout has a fair amount of challenges and it is especially tough on a windy day. There are subtle but tricky contours thanks to the undulating landscape and several strategically placed bunkers lurk throughout. Water is not too much of a threat on this golf course, except for the memorable finishing hole. This beastly par 5 lays measures 645 yards and wraps around a massive water hazard. The Bridges is a local favorite because not only is it a challenging round, it is also an affordable one.

Filling Up with Houses
Really enjoyed this course that will eventually be wrung with houses on every hole. However, if one gets out there now more than half the holes have no houses on them. This wil soon change as the streets for the back 9’were being built.
Course was in good condition with many memorable holes. I really enjoyed undulating greens. Must play if in the area.
Great bang for your buck
It was middle of November and the weather was great, the course was really well kept considering the price and the time of year. Finished the round in 3 hours and 40 ish minutes while playing in a 2-some waiting on most shots. The layout was awesome, nestled into rolling hills of cattle land, there were amazing views of the pastures and a great sunset view. They also did an amazing job including the nature in the layout, tons of meandering creek beds and tree lines, it still felt like a links style course though. A lot of the holes were longer (which works for me) but they made sure to sprinkle in touch shot holes, they had a par 5 on the front that they followed up with a 280 yard par 4 that had a narrow sloping green, I managed to get it into the bunker on the left and had 10 yards to the hole, 5 chip shots later and a triple bogey was laid in my lap. I don’t mind the challenges created from holes like that. The greens had been aerated pretty recently but still rolled well. I figured I would play this course to see how it was, now I can’t wait to see what it’s like in the spring/summer time. 100% will be back, what an awesome track.
Great course
Second time I’ve played here. Just as great as first time. Course in excellent condition. Greens were punched about 6-8 weeks ago and in really good shape. Definitely recommend it. Be ware though, in the wind this is a beast of a course!
Great bang for the buck
Not to expensive and the golf course is stunning and the condition of the course are always great. The staff is great and suffer friendly
Course is on decent condition, pace of play is extremely slow.
Started today at 1:50 it took 3 hours to get up to hole 13 had to call it off. Previously I’d finish this course in just 4 hours.
Great Track
Course layout is good but challenging, especially when the tall grass isn’t mowed down. Pace of play was great and the staff is always awesome. Took my 7 year old and course was wide open. Tee boxes were great shape, fairways great, and greens were lunched somewhat recently, but still in good shape and putts rolled true. Had a nice chip in Eagle of 6 too so that made the round even more enjoyable!
Just punched the greens
13$ for about 20 range balls is criminal. Course layout is great and played in about 3 and a half hours. Just punched and sanded the greens other than that great course.
Great shape, but slow
Course was in great shape, greens were rolling good. Only problem was the pace of play. Started at 5 on a Sunday, took 2.5 hours to get through 9 holes. Had 4 children behind us that probably weren’t old enough to drive a golf cart and had no etiquette (driving right up on us on the tee box, talking loudly while we were swinging, driving into us on the fairway.) At one point there were 4 different groups on the same hole. Overall this is a nice course but they need to figure out the pace of play issue, nobody wants to wait 5-10 minutes for every hit.
Great Course
Good Layout and in good shape.
Challenging Greens but in good condition
Excellent course to spend time on
The Bridges golf club is beautiful, staff is fantastic but golf was slow the day we played. 3 separate tees in a group of three backed up more than a dozen groups behind. An assertive Marshal would have alleviated the problem with active pace management, but I don't manage courses for a living.
They even recovered and secured a left-behind rangefinder. Top notch team!
Wow. Loved it
Found one of these golf pass value rounds and figured I would make the 2 plus hour drive out here to check it out and the course did not disappoint. Shot one of my best rounds in a while out here playing from the blues. 3 over 75. Greens at the time were really firm, but they rolled true and I had 23 putts for the entire round. They have tons of risk reward holes. There was par 4 hole 6 that I hit my 3 hybrid on the green. It was playing like 250 but the wind was helping. Their signature hole has to be 18. It’s really a hole that you want to take on the water to go after the Eagle, but you need to carry it 260 plus to get into that landing zone. Best advice I can give you for this course is to hit your spots and you’ll play well.
