Spring Valley Golf and Disc Golf Club
About
Spring Valley is the realization of the late, great Texan Vernon A. Roland, who grew up on the land, served the country in World War II, and became a successful businessman by running Houston's Roland Cleaners. A man who knew the land intimately, he originally purchased the land to run a sawmill but then he fell in love with the great game of golf, which inspired him to build this charming little 9-holer.
Roland opened this par-34, executive-like track in 1993 amid the tranquil beauty around Spring Creek. Roland's course is fun, sporting five par 4s well under 300 yards, three short-iron-only par 3s, and a reachable par 5 as the opening hole, which also happens to be the number one handicap.
Getting there : From Houston take I-45 north to FM 2920, then turn left under the freeway. Take 2920 to Rhodes Rd. and turn left on Spring Stuebner. Gosling road is ahead, where you'll turn right and drive 3 miles to the course.

Awesome Course for an Awesome Price
I have played this course religiously for the past few months. The price is around $20 to play 9 holes with a cart. They provide coolers and ice when you purchase drinks and those are free 9 of charge. I highly recommend this course for anyone that just wants to keep their clubs warm and their golf game consistent.
It is what it is
Its just a 9hole course to go have fun at. Friendly staff only issue is cart path only when we havent had rain in a month or so and it is 100 degrees out. Greens in ok shape. All in All it is what it is for the price. I'd recommend if you can catch it on a Hot Deal .
Cheap Experience
We had a colleague recommend this course to us, so we decided to book it. The greens are in pretty bad shape, and the overall course isn’t in great condition. However, It’s not something to complain about because it’s only $30 a person. The only reason I’m leaving a bad review is because of the Marshall, or whoever it is that drives around in a 4x4. My group spend around $150 on balls and drinks prior to teeing off, and on our last hole he drove by us and made some extremely rude comments. Because of this individual, I’d never play at this course again. Golf is a professional sport, and verbal provocation isn’t something that most Marshall’s would engage in.
Practice Course
Been years since last played. Believe more people play disc golf than traditional. If driving cart, compete with those who walk and disc players. Pace can be slow. Not much distinction between fairways and greens. If driving, cart path only. Will pay a little more to play better course.
Friendly place
Friendly staff and reasonable price. Played in about 90 minutes without rushing. Disc course wasn't busy so not sure if that could effect play. The Disc course appears to go right along the golf course.
Great Course for the Weekend Hacker
Great time. The course was rough but playable nonetheless. It was great to work on your game. Beer and Beverages were cold and affordable. I will begin playing it on a regular basis just for practice shots all over. Very Fun Course!!
Executive course good for a quick 9
It’s a hybrid of golf and disc golf. Staff are friendly. Course condition is not country club for sure, especially the green during winter. If you want a quick and inexpensive 9 nearby, this is your choice. Friendly staff
Good value
The course conditions are a good value for the price. Staff and other golfers were friendly.
Not much good grass to hit off of in fairways, more like solid dirt but nice beginning 9 hole course
Great for beginners
Very short course, most par 4s are less than 250yds. Great place for new players learning the game.
Terrible course and terrible staff
Staff harass the golfers and the cart we were given didn’t have brakes. Almost hit another person before I realized it had no brakes. Overall a terrible experience.
It’s come a long way
I played here back in 2015 and then returned about two weeks ago with my son to teach him the rules of the game. Compared to 2015 I was delightfully impressed. There was a scramble getting ready to start sbout the time of my tee time but they were really quick. So decided to return with my son on Oct. 13, 22 and all was going well until we went to start playing two groups ahead of me these guys were so slow, so it set back the tee times by almost 20min. The group before us complained to the office and nothing was done to speed them up or allow the faster groups to past them. I understand this isn’t an expensive course but golf rules are rules and should be enforce. Not easy when only one person doing it all at the course. We finally very slowly began our game. If not for that experience I would have rated this day higher. Oh also our cart had no brakes , the young lady at the desk needs help, she’s good and pleasant but can’t be in all places by herself. But will go back again hopefully those slow players won’t be in front of us again. Course for what it is works great as a learning course and practice.
