Spring Valley Golf and Disc Golf Club
About
Spring Valley is the realization of the late, great Texan Vernon A. Roland, who grew up on the land, served the country in World War II, and became a successful businessman by running Houston's Roland Cleaners. A man who knew the land intimately, he originally purchased the land to run a sawmill but then he fell in love with the great game of golf, which inspired him to build this charming little 9-holer.
Roland opened this par-34, executive-like track in 1993 amid the tranquil beauty around Spring Creek. Roland's course is fun, sporting five par 4s well under 300 yards, three short-iron-only par 3s, and a reachable par 5 as the opening hole, which also happens to be the number one handicap.
Getting there : From Houston take I-45 north to FM 2920, then turn left under the freeway. Take 2920 to Rhodes Rd. and turn left on Spring Stuebner. Gosling road is ahead, where you'll turn right and drive 3 miles to the course.

Nice little spot for a casual round.
Cart path only is a bit of a bummer, but it’s not a bad place to practice your hybrid or long irons. Staff is great, drinks are affordable. The greens are not the best, but it’s overall a great bargain.
This course is up and coming
First time playing this course. The greens and tee boxes need some work. You can see signs of current and future improvement projects all around the course. It is a great course to work on your iron game. I will be back out soon. I recommend getting out and enjoying a cheap nine holes before the rates go up. 👍🏾
Improving
Been hacking here for a little over a year. Always been an excellent value. Only 9-Hole option close by. The new owners are making some significant improvements and I can’t wait to see how this place transforms.
Hard to beat $26 walking with 3 beers.
They are making improvements. New tee boxes, greens are being redone, new bunker, and food trucks with nice beer garden. They’re putting money into this place and transforming it to be much nicer than it was when I first started playing here. With that being said, you will see crews working to rebuild the course while you’re playing and even play around them at certain times, but it looks like it will all be worth it. The owner is doing a great job of remodeling the course.
Great place!
They’re making a bunch of upgrades to the course. It’s perfect for working on your driver! Frisbee golf if you’re into that! There’s a nice area to relax with a Food truck. Staff are, as always, awesome!
Great 9 hole course for a quick causal game.
Really enjoyed our round here with my 7 year old. Was first time taking him to a “real” golf course and this spot was the perfect vibe. A great little course, very friendly staff, and a cool food truck court waiting for you at the end of the 9th hole. Will definitely be back!
Spring Valley: The best 9 hole Course in Texas
Spring Valley is a phenomenal environment for not only golf, disc golf, but also entertaining. Recently, under new ownership, Spring Valley has undergone a myriad of changes. Firstly, the entire course has been revamped. The fairways are much more prominent now than before, and while some holes remain tight and test your game, some are now more open and forgiving. A new constant throughout the course though, is the lack of tall grass in the rough sections. This makes finding balls played into the rough much easier. Currently, a few bridges are being constructed. This construction has caused a slight degradation in some parts of the cart path, but this is for the long term good of the course and is completely excusable. The state of the course is not the only reason to visit Spring Valley though, the pro-shop members and new owners right hand man, are extremely kind and attentive. They will gladly help you with anything you need and are extremely respectful. The Pro-Shop also is stocked extremely well, with numerous fairly priced beverages and snacks. The addition of the new tented area next to the restaurant is also a fantastic touch. I can’t recommend paying Spring Valley a visit more if you are, someone who enjoys relaxed golf, someone who is a beginner to intermediate golfer looking for more practice, those who are getting tired of paying to play on the Player or Woodlands courses, or just anyone who wants to play a round with no eyes beaming down on them. Spring Valley and their workers have been a huge positive to learning golf for me.
Ehhh :/
Paid over 2 dollars on the app to confirm and schedule tee time ( the app fee ) … it said due at course was going to be around 21 dollars … but the course charged me 27
So for just about 30 bucks … not worth it
Very sandy course
Nice little venue
First time playing. Challenging for the narrow fairways. Will definitely go back.
Enjoyable 9 Holes
Fun 9 hole course where you can practice & enjoy game. Good mixture of distances to practice/improve game. Course was is in good condition
Get What You Pay For
Great for a beginner or someone looking to keep the rust off their clubs. The greens are below average and it's cart path only. Very casual setting and enjoyed the hospitability from the staff. Only issue is having to be weary of disc golfers and hoping no one gets hit by a stray ball.
It’s a poor quality course
The course in very bad condition, green grass are very bad, grass grows out of control and the worst part is that 9 holes but extremely slow because they overbooked and most players just started so they hit more than 1 balls etc. Overall I can’t recommended this course due to it conditions
