Atchafalaya always awesome
I Play this course every time I’m home and it’s always in great shape with friendly pro staff and great grill too.
Atchafalaya coming back slowly but surely
This course has my favorite layout of any course in the Acadiana area. The greens were slow and hairy but I believe it is for the upcoming warmer months and more players. Fairways are great! Had issue with cart, but someone came with a replacement before we left the green.
I for sure plan to go back in a month or two to see the turnout of their planned progress.

Atchafayla at Idlewild
Course is getting back in shape after year of poor conditions. Bunkers, fairways and greens are in much better shape. Greens are nice but very slow due to height of grass. Should be much better when they are cut to normal heights. Overall the course is good but not like when it first open.
Now the carts is a different story. Pretty pathetic carts for such a nice course.

The course looks good
Several months ago I played on the course and the course was in bad shape. I played a week ago and was very pleased how the course looked and was the greens was in real good shape. Thanks to the green keeper for doing a great job. Will be back again soon. 😊

Great experience
Much improved from last golf outing. Very enjoyable experience and course in great shape. Was informed that new cart will be there soon.

Awesome course! Very scenic and well laid out. Staff is very friendly and the restaurant is spectacular with local seafood.

Needs new blood
I have played Atchafalaya for the last 5 yrs. The course seems to be in downward spiral. The tees were awful, missing tee markers, poor turf. rest of the course seems to be fine. The carts are awful as well. They used to have GPS units in each. None or damaged now. torn seats, and missing front windshields. My cart drove and rattled like it had been rolled over. The best part of the experience is the free range balls. Staff was courteous, but restaurant service was very slow.

I love the course layout the greens are being worked on so they were slow brought my wife and she enjoyed the scenery and the great lunch options

Atchafayla at Idlewild
Course is finally getting back in great shape. Greens were beautiful although slow. I would highly recommend to play Atchafayla now that they have greens repaired. Well done an accolades to the superintendent.

COMING ALONG
You can’t beat the character of this golf course. The setting and layout are special with a good bit of the course having private surroundings. However the course itself needs some TLC. Tee boxes given a D- with many of the markers missing. Bunkers given a C- to D grade for lack of fill and grooming. Fairways given a B grade for just being a little bare and hard in places but satisfactory otherwise. Greens given a B- to C grade for being soft and slow with some having patches of bare spots. Can’t help but be disappointed when one knows where this course was at one time when it was in its prime. Currently, if you can play it in the $30 range, it is worth it.
