Great Improvement
Course conditions were In fantastic shape. Much improved from last golf outing there. Thank you for attending the issues. Green were in great condition. A bit slow but understandable.
Awesome course! Very scenic and well laid out. Staff is very friendly and the restaurant is spectacular with local seafood.

Needs new blood
I have played Atchafalaya for the last 5 yrs. The course seems to be in downward spiral. The tees were awful, missing tee markers, poor turf. rest of the course seems to be fine. The carts are awful as well. They used to have GPS units in each. None or damaged now. torn seats, and missing front windshields. My cart drove and rattled like it had been rolled over. The best part of the experience is the free range balls. Staff was courteous, but restaurant service was very slow.

I love the course layout the greens are being worked on so they were slow brought my wife and she enjoyed the scenery and the great lunch options

Atchafayla at Idlewild
Course is finally getting back in great shape. Greens were beautiful although slow. I would highly recommend to play Atchafayla now that they have greens repaired. Well done an accolades to the superintendent.

COMING ALONG
You can’t beat the character of this golf course. The setting and layout are special with a good bit of the course having private surroundings. However the course itself needs some TLC. Tee boxes given a D- with many of the markers missing. Bunkers given a C- to D grade for lack of fill and grooming. Fairways given a B grade for just being a little bare and hard in places but satisfactory otherwise. Greens given a B- to C grade for being soft and slow with some having patches of bare spots. Can’t help but be disappointed when one knows where this course was at one time when it was in its prime. Currently, if you can play it in the $30 range, it is worth it.

Much improved
played here some time at the end of summer and greens were horrible and in some cases non existent. However this round was a much better experience, there were some greens that have a few issues but not even close to as bad as a couple months ago, they are doing a great job with the winter greens.

Very enjoyable course to play
Course is great only problem is golf carts hardly any have range finders on them
A Big Letdown
This course has the bones and the layout to be great! The greens are in terrible shape and some of the fairways are rough. If this course received some TLC it would be top tier. The golf carts don’t have GPS in them anymore which is advertised to have them. Got this round on a hot deal and felt that even that was overpriced for the very poor condition of this course.

Not worth it.
Carts did not have GPS as advertised. Greens haven't been mowed in days to weeks and were impossible to putt. There were two temporary greens that were impossible to play. This should have been stated online. Greens fees should have been extremely discounted due to the poor conditions. On the positive side, the club house and restaurant were very nice!

Not worth it
Course was in terrible shape. Greens hadn't been mowed in days (?week) and were impossible to putt. 2 holes had temporary greens (reportedly for over 2 months) that were not puttable. Minimal to no yardage markers or GPS on carts. No marshal to keep slow players moving along on a weekend. Excellent clubhouse and restaurant. Great potential but the course need much work.
