The Atchafalaya at Idlewild

Staff members were very polite and friendly. Employee issuing carts was very pleasant and professional. The course was in great shape except a few greens but they are growing back in. Had a little issue with group behind us hitting into us. Other than that a great day with friends.

In town for the Super Bowl & played English Turn, TPC Louisiana & Lakewood during my time. Felt like getting out of the city and so happy I did. Easy drive, not much out there though but the course was in good shape considering the snow and freezing temperatures they have had of late - a few patchy spots on the green and fairway but all in all a great day out. I played as a single and was done in 2-1/2 hours. Staff are incredibly and everyone I interacted with were more than helpful and friendly. I would gladly play this course again.

Second time I’ve played this course. Loved it both times and will play again when the opportunity presents. Greens are like putting across a gator’s back on some holes and marvelous on others. Clubhouse is really nice and staff was super friendly.

It was a cold day. Staff were polite and trying to protect the turf in conditions of frost in the early morning. Grounds guy always is super polite and helpful. Office staff were polite and positive

Some greens are in really bad shape. Really like this course but putting on those bad greens was challenging.

Wetaher was perfect, course overall was in good shape except for some of the greens, although they do seem to be trying to correct them.

I’ve played this course several times over the years since it’s about a 45 minute drive for me. This course is a beautiful course but it is extremely neglected. I had a day off and decided to play a round by myself. I thought since it was thanksgiving week, there may be a crowd and I might get put in a group. But when I arrived at 9am the course was basically empty. The biggest issue is the greens! They are unplayable! I might have had 3 or 4 putts that were not affected by the poor conditions. The sand traps weren’t great, but it had rained the day before so maybe that had some effect. Overall care of the course is poor. Signs knocked down, tee boxes not marked clearly, and just not well kept. The staff were great and practice areas were good. Again, this is a beautiful course with so much potential, but it needs some TLC!!!

I have played this course many times. Fairways and rough was in good condition. Greens leave alot to be desired with crusting and sand on most of the greens.

I love the layout of the course. It needs work. Fairways are great. Some of the greens are just terrible. The sand is ok but not the white soft sand you find at top tier course. The tee boxes are ok. If you get the hot deat rate it's worth it but the regular is to high for the overall condition. To bad, it could be a top tier facility.

Course is in extremely bad condition, 3 holes were posted unplayable and wasn't notified about it when checking in

5 holes closed, greens not maintained. Seen it in a alot better condition. Played 6 holes and left. Really is a beautiful course but it needs some love

Great day to play with great weather.

Course a little dry from no rain in last few weeks but greens are the best of the courses I have played recently.

The course is in its worst shape it’s ever been in. The greens are slow and terrible. 3 greens are not even playable so they closed all 3 holes (2,5, & 13). You would think they would offer a discount for 3 closed holes but NO they did not. I will not play here again anytime soon. Horrible. They sure miss Jacob as a pro. He took care of the course and got it better until they ran him off. Terrible management and board.

Greens need a lot of work and replanting.

Like the course layout and staff personnel and restaurant are very good and friendly.

Many of the greens had been damaged recently and some were unplayable. Course layout is nice with lots of trees and water. Some of the sand traps were in good condition and some needed more sand
