This course is an amazing value as a Hot Deal. Pros-include the scenery, price, GPS in-cart, nice restaurant and friendliness and dries quickly. Cons- out of the way if you're visiting New Orleans, conditions have been deteriorating over the years, heat and humidity, mosquitoes. In summary, this is a parish-owned golf course that is in better shape that private clubs I've played before but without the strange gaze of members that make you feel like invaders (you know what I'm talking about).

My Opinion

A very nice practice facility, difficult layout. Each hole was different. Greens rolled well. Course was adequately maintained. It was not crowded and it often felt like we had the place to ourselves. The south Louisiana Wildlife was varied and abundant.

Overall I flet the $74 price tag was a little steep for the course conditions. I will probably be back but only if I can catch a better price deal somehow.

Played the course in preparation for the LA Golf Association's Senior 4 Ball tournament next weekend. It's about 75 miles from my home in Baton Rouge, but is really worth the drive to see and play this great golf course.

Beautiful scenery & course layout. Greens are smooth and fast. Sand traps needed some maintenance after heavy rains from hurricane Harvey, which is the reason I didn't award a 5 star rating.

Multiple tees provide any golfer the chance to be challenged, but still have big fun. Don't miss this course, you'll be glad you played.

The restaurant serves up some top notch LA cuisine...an added bonus. And the staff makes you feel like a VIP.
