Terrific Value
My wife and I have played here the last few weeks. We have had a terrific time. The course is in good shape and the greens are running true.
Attractive course
I booked an afternoon tee time in August and paid about $55 for 18 holes including a cart and 30 balls on the driving range (irons only) . Obviously it was very hot, but there were very few people on the course so no waiting whatsoever. It's a very attractive course, well maintained and quite challenging due to fast greens and numerous water obstacles. There are restrooms and drinking water at regular intervals which is appreciable. The only downside I would say would be that most fairways have houses alongside them which can be off-putting if you are not totally confident in your accuracy with driver.
One of the best in the area.
I don't care what kind of course I play, if the greens are sub standard, I don't waste my money. These are some of the best in the area. Roll well, hold approach shots and plenty of contour. Fairways are elevated in some spots and punitive if you miss them, one stroke at least. Local knowledge is worth about 3 strokes. Iced water is on the course. From the back tees, on a couple of holes, it's all the course you can handle for senior players. Tee boxes all level, grassed and manicured. Roughs are rough, just position out and take your lumps. There are some bald spots near the greens because the big oaks throw so much shade the grass can't grow. Bring your A game for chipping/pitching. Compared to where I normally have to play, this is a wonderful course.
Was surprised as to how sad the condition was. Greens were good but tee boxes and fairways were loaded with weeds. Played two weeks ago and it was much better.
After Debby
Considering we played after TS Debby, the fairways were awesome, as well as the greens. Unfortunately, one hole was closed. Calusa is a favorite of mine. The Pro shop attendants are the nicest.
After hurricane Debby
Considering having a hurricane just a few days ago the course was in great shape. The greens were exceptional.
Best in the area
Best option in the area without having to spend a ton of money. Greens are immaculate. Fun layout.
Beautiful course
Extremely beautiful course. Next to the State Park, lots of wild life and wetlands, can’t wait to go back.
GREENS ARE PUNCHED
Neither Golf Now, nor the pro shop staff let me know that the greens had been punched. I found out putting on the first green. I honesty wouldn't have gone there had I known that. And the pro shop staff could have given a heads up.
