Very good moderate course
Very good greens, reasonably challenging holes and very good for seniors.
Good to work on short game but weird place
As for the course, greens are in good shape but a bit slow. It’s tight so watch out for other golfers shots headed at you on the tee box. As for the staff, I called 20 minutes ahead and after arriving 10 minutes later the man did not remember getting my name and number saying I could play; I didn’t argue and still went out. Other golfers seemed to drive around randomly to play other holes out of order which was a little odd too. I’d play again if in the area and everywhere else was packed
Great Family Style Course
First, the staff is outstanding. Always welcoming and very friendly. The pace of play here needs work. I’ve gone multiple times by myself and will get paired with a group then have to wait 10 minutes at each hole to tee off, then again on for the next shot. On the flip side, I’ve been when I’ve been able to walk the course myself in 2 hours. That has been 1 time out of the 5 I’ve played there though.
The greens were immaculate. Better than a lot of others in the area. Some of the fairways are hard to tell if you are actually in the fairway, but I wouldn’t knock that too much just something to point out.
Mainland’s worth the trip!
Mainland’s has been our go to course for us snow birdies this year.
Greens are in excellent shape.
Gotcha
Course is always busy, the greens differ with the seasons, staff are friendly and fellow golfers are friendly.
Great short course
The greens are the main attraction here, beautiful, smooth and tough to read. Power lines dominate the field of view but overall it’s pretty well laid out and interesting to play. Fairways need some love and the lack of a driving range was the low for this outing. I’d say check it out for something different than a par 3 but don’t expect too much. Likely play it again.
Good short course
Good course to practice your wedges. Greens are pretty good right now. Generous fairways make this a good course for all levels.
Phenomenal greens: Mid everything else
Really busy, 5some in front of us held us up all day. Greens were some of the best I’ve played. Fairways were awful. Course was tired. Not worth what we paid for the round, but was a nice day!
Nice small course, intricate greens.
Showed up on a rainy monday morning. Everyone was nice, joined up with two other gentlemen. Definitely a short course, and a mostly straightforward layout. Fairways weren't the best but weren't the worst, greens however were absolutely fantastic for the price. Not only were they in good condition, they were very subtly contoured making for a difficult but fun putting experience.
Did have some apparent employee hassle me at the turn about us not riding together (3 separates who joined up) which I felt like was unnecessary but not a big deal. So maybe ditch your cart on the course and hop in with the other guy if you join up?
All in all, fun short and super well priced course I will absolutely be back to play again.
Very good practice course.
I came here hoping to get alot of wedges and short irons to greens, and Mainlands fulfilled that objective. Unfortunately i still need practice, hit every green on front and zero on back. I am 82, drive 180 to 200 so short par 4's were ideal. Fun course though, greens pretty good, rolled true.
