About
Cove Cay Golf Club is located along the shores of Tampa Bay, offering scenic views and abundant wildlife. Water is a prominent feature on the golf course, coming into play on 12 holes. The course is tight with narrow, tree-lined fairways and several tricky dogleg holes. In addition to all of the water hazards, there are also deep bunkers lining the greensides. At 6,100 yards, it is not a long course by any means but what it lacks in length it makes up for in shot-making challenges. Thanks to its length though, it can usually be played in under four hours. The layout features a diverse set of hazards that will require the use of every club in your bag. Cove Cay Golf Club's signature hole is the par-5 17th. This dramatic hole runs alongside the bay, making accuracy a necessity in order to reach the small peninsula green.

Golfer Reviews
Cove Cay Sunday 8/16
Overall we paid $65 each player on Teeoff for a 730am tee time. Pace was slow and we waited on quite a lot of holes. Tough to keep rhythm. Also, it was extremely and no breeze off the water. The fairways were great! The rough was very high and tough to find balls. Guaranteed you will lose a few balls if go into rough. Greens were average. Some was better than others . Some greens had several patches of disease. Tee boxes were good. Thought $65 was a little steep for August tee time. Probably won’t play there again for quite awhile.
Love Cove Cay
Cove Cay is a favorite course for us that we play frequently. Course in great shape. Staff very friendly.
Friend golf trip
Came on a four day golf trip with a friend. We paired with two other guys and had a blast. Course was well taken care of. Beautiful views. Would definitely play here again if in the area.
Poor management
I've played here years ago and thought to give it another go. Had rain previous night, the entire course was cart path only. No beverage cart all day, bar didn't open until 11:00, and our cart died through 9 holes. Carts were set so sensitive that if you got off the path a few feet it would cut off. Brought our own cooler with water and three beers and the manager about lost his mide over it, like dude you don't have a cart girl and it's 100 degrees out, your customers want beverages. I'll never play here again and I'm local so you just lost a lot of business.
Great value!
The course had a lot of wet grass clippings but we played in the morning. The holes by the bay were an extremely pretty view!
Challenging course
I would have liked to have been notified about the course conditions before booking my tee time, not after. The greens were just aerated and full of sand. Making it impossible to putt. My first time playing there, It was a challenging course. I will play there again.
COVE CAY
The course is in great shape my game not so much today. Nice greens and fairways lots of good turf to hit off . Most courses are quite brown and ugly right now because of zero rain!
For a Hot Deal its worth it, not worth 80-95 dollars regular fees I was first off and i paid 40$$
Wasn't aware the course had their greens punched which made them not worth the value to putt on.
Great course
Played over the weekend and had a blast. Great conditions for this course given the recent lack of rain we’ve had. Everything was lush and green and well kept. Course was fun and requires some thought with each shot. Will be back to play again.
