Cove Cay Golf Club

Don’t miss fairways or greens. Rough grabs your wedges. Greens are small and quick. Great conditions and great views. Nice layout with some more challenging holes.

This course was way overbooked. My round took over 5 hours to complete. The staff was very friendly but they should have pushed the pace. Most importantly the course should not be so overbooked. This was the longest round I have ever played and I’ve played a lot of golf throughout my life.

Again the staff was very kind and the course overall was in decent shape but the management should really lower the amount of traffic the course receives.

Good value for the area. Course is in great condition for the the price. Pace of play is really bad unfortunately…they need to have a Marshall check in on pace. We had a 6 some and a 7 some in front of us. The staff friendliness is hit or miss. The starter was nice and the pros seem nice. The kid working the pro shop had an attitude. Not a big deal but just something they could improve.

Our foursome had to follow 2 groups of 5. We saw a ranger on hole #1 and that was it. After 9 holes the 3 other people I was playing with left. The 5 people in front of me had the decency to let me play through. When I caught the group in front of them and I asked to play through I was denied. I left after playing 12 holes. Every single hole we waited and I don't mean short waits. When I went to leave I decided to voice my displeasure with the guy in the Pro Shop. That didn't go over well. Got the look like what do you want from me. If you want to spend your golf day waiting every single hole and allow groups of 5 then this course is for you. Too many other courses in the area to play! The course was in decent shape but nothing special believe me!! Golf is supposed to be fun not being at a place where they put as many people as possible on a course and where you sit snd wait and sit and wait!

Course was $70. Took 5.25 hours to finish the round. Course is very tight and very short. Dont even bother taking your driver with you.

Tee boxes are chewed up. Couldnt use the driving range. Putting green was patchy. No where to chip.

For $70 go somewhere else. Horrible management and maintenance.

Course in good shape. Greens were FAST! Nice, but took assume getting used to.

This course is a gem. It has just enough doglegs, hazards, and bunkers to make it somewhat challenging but not so hard that you wouldn't have fun playing it.

It is pleasing to the eye with various scenic views.

The condition of the fairways, tee boxes, and greens were superb, and they do a nice job of maintaining it. I'll keep coming back and recommend this course.

Had a great time playing with 3 total strangers. Course is in very nice shape. I'll be back.

The course was in great shape, and the pace of play was fantastic.

Had a great round here, definitely a fun challenging course. Most of the issues were with the course condition they cut the grass and it must have been the first time in a couple days because there were clippings everywhere to the point you were penalized for hitting in the fairway cause your ball was covered in grass. Pace of play was good but its slow season has great views and a sweet layout.

The layout of this courses much more fun than a lot of the other courses that I play at. Fairways were in good shape first cut rough was a little high lost a couple of balls that way played alone. Greens are in decent shape appeared to be fast even early morning adapted after a few holes Love this course play it and suggest anybody else play as much as possible. Good clubhouse good selection of food and drinks thanks for an enjoyable day

This course begs you to go for it every hole. Challenging and fun rewarding you when you’re playing good. Bring your putting skills! Kinda fast slippery greens.

This course begs you to go for it. Its dog legs are just far enough to try and make the corner with a good shot. If you lay up though, you’re still good. Semi-fast rolling greens add so much fun.

Play Cove K all the time the back nine is absolutely great for a nice local golf course I live in St Pete excellent condition today I played even in some rain Fairways or not beat up greens were fast highly recommend this course

I've never seen this course in better shape than it was on this day. The first green had a boo boo on the very front of the green but the other 17 greens were perfect. The greens were faster than what I was used to, so it took me a few holes to dial them in. After that they were a joy to put on. They rolled smoothly with no unexpected bumps along the way. Three things I look for are grass on the tee boxes, grass in the fairways and grass on the greens. This course passed on all three. This course has enough twists and turns to make it interesting and the views of the Bay on the back nine are outstanding. I recommend it and I will be back soon.

Great location and some pretty views. Not a long course but a bunch of really great holes.

Not too Long, but fun. Cove Cay has some unique holes like #12 that somewhat mimics #12 at Augusta. The course winds it way through Cove Cay Condo buildings and also along Tampa Bay. Fairways and greens were in good shape. Back nine tee boxes had just been punched, but not a big deal. Staff was excellent and we had a great conversation with the owner, Bill in the bar after the round. Already recommending Cove Cay to friends and will be back soon.
