Greens are unputtable with canyons running through. Fairways were 50/50 grass, dirt….sometimes mud. Super friendly staff for sure.. ow….and the yardage is off on the practice range, way off. Not a snob, but I play once every weekend, this place will be a pass for me moving forward.

The people and restaurant are 👍 but the course was in below average condition w really rough tees and patchy greens. But the price was about right for the conditions and I got in a weekend round in under 3.5 hours. So I’d do it again, but I love golf.

The course is great and has a great layout. A few of the greens have rough spots but nothing awful. Great people and the rates are good for the course quality

Great course for the money. Course was not in the greatest shape. It been cold down here (February) so that’s to be expected. Staff was friendly and helpful. Members were all great guys was invited to play 3 some with members. Was enjoyable

We are traveling back home and wanted to spend a few days checking out the area, Glad I took time to play around met a nice local guy and joined him for the round. Will definitely be back.

The course was in ok condition for winter. Greens were surprisingly slow with break at the hole. Overall, a good value for the money. Will play again.

For a course that is closed every Monday for maintenance, the tee boxes and most of the greeens were in quite poor shape. Tee boxes are all pretty much sand and very little grass. Greens are about 40-50% seed patch. Cost is good, especially since a cart is included.

Fun course to play but needs Restrooms in the worst way

The other reviews gave me pause, but SJBGC was a very pleasant experience. Course is in good shape overall. A few tee boxes are chewed up. Bunkers are dirt vs. sand. The greens are sandy and on the slow side, but putt true. Fairways are in good shape. Rough is lush and – rough. Keep your eyes on the ball. Lots of wet places. Course has a good layout, winding through the pines. No houses on course is refreshing. Small range. Gas carts and gravel paths – both work fine. Personnel were very pleasant and helpful. The tee sheet was clear when I reserved , but not the next day when playing. Pace was good though, with several groups letting a single play through. Decent pro shop, but nothing is priced?? Great back porch and bar to relax after your round.

Would play again. Suggestion: Include a small bucket (25 balls) in greens fee.

Condition of course has greatly improved still some room for improvement. Greens aren't the best and some re-soding areas. Price could be better. But overall decent.

I played this course last year and I was skeptical when a friend told me to give it another chance. I must say the grounds crew have done a great job. The greens were so much better. I'm looking forward to paying here again.

Was told had to play even though it rained over night. Golf cart was soaked and cart paths was flooded and to play around equipment. Price is way too high for this course. Played at way better for less!
