Champions Run Golf Course

Although we just had rain several days ago course still had holes closed off, greens need alittle attention. Tees and fairways were great. Great course for the money...

I LIKED THE PACE OF PLAY, OF COURSE, IT HELPED THAT I PLAYED WELL. YOU MUST STAY IN THE FAIRWAYS OR YOU RISK A LOST BALL EVEN IF YOU ONLY MISS BY A FOOT OR TWO, SERIOUSLY. THERE ARE PLENTY OF INTERESTING HOLES WITH PLENTY OF CHALLENGE FOR THE AVERAGE TO BETTER GOLFER. IF YOU ARE A BEGINNER, EITHER BRING A BUCKET OF BALLS OR STAY AWAY. THE GREENS WERE OKAY FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR AND THE FAIRWAYS TOO. ONLY A COUPLE OF BALL WASHERS, BUT SEVERAL WATER STANDS. THE STAFF MADE US FEEL LIKE THEY WERE GLAD WE CAME TO PLAY.

course was not packed. took my two sons for the first time they had played just to spend time with them and had a really good time together.

Great course for the money! Course is in decent shape, not pristine, but good enough to play every weekend! Greens need some attention but overall had a great experience and would recommend playing this course!

I booked a single round but played with 3 others. The greens are in goof shape but the fairways in some spots are very hard. All in all it was a nice course and I will go back.

This is a fun course to play where you are unlikely to lose a lot of balls. Golf carts need attention though. And the 8th hole is closed so you have to play a temporary par 3.

The course was packed, the reason it took so long to play was the number of 2 somes who were walking, Its nice to walk but in the middle of the day with 4 somes around them they slowed play down to a crawl. The other problem with Golf Now is the discount, If I had booked as a SR which I am, it would have been cheaper than what I paid.

A truly lousy experience on the golf course. First, we played in early April and the grass was still dormant looking (brown), including the greens (brown!) so the place was aesthetically unpleasing- in fact downright ugly. The range balls are spent. The hitting area was dirt. The real probs however were on the course. There were holes closed and alternate holes in their place. Understandable but the golf shop made no mention of this at check in, there was no starter to inform you, and the only way you knew this was some poor signage on the course that was more confusing than helpful. So you wasted time looking for the next hole - never a good sign. We had a foursome ahead of us who looked as if this was their first trip ever to a golf course and so we waited all day. I'm all for beginners but WHERE IS THE RANGER to "help" them keep things moving??? Out of complete frustration we quit after 9 holes (and nearly 3 hours!!). I don't think I will return....

Very nice course with good fairways and excellent greens when the grass is green. But in winter the fairway grass is dormant and tight. The greens put true even if dormant. Not fair to assess this course during off season. Can't wait for May.

I've been going to champions run for about 3 years now. Its always in good shape. The Greens are fast but consistent and Tee to green this course is a great value. Its length and fast greens make the course challenging but the open fairways and limited trees/bunkers make it fun for high handicapp players. I really like this course.

This is a hidden gem in middle Tennessee. A super value for this well maintained course and great practice facility. The staff is the best that I've encountered anywhere. I will join this course next week and look forward to playing here often. A straight forward course, however, will be a challenge from the tips.

Nice course, I played it in mid February so the bermuda grass was dormant but the greens where still in good shape and rolled very well. The wind was blowing 20-30 MPH so it was very challenging on that day. Good variety of holes make for a fun layout to play. I am looking forward to coming back in the late Spring of Summer to play when the course is green.

I would bet this course would look good in mid summer but it was in pretty rough shape today 2/7/13. Staff was great. No concerns there. They had to shut down an entire hole (par 4, I believe hole 8) due to the inability of the fairways to drain properly and it had not been warm enough to dry it out, although we had not had any heavy rains in several days. This must be a severe problem as they took the time to create a new par 3 hole it's place which now creates a par 72 to a par 71. I did like the greens. Nice and quick and very receptive. This course has the same issues as Forrest Crossings in Franklin. Poor course drainage. I live in Franklin and would just assume play there than drive here

For the money this is a great course. The staff is very friendly and the course is well maintained for the money they charge.

Course is in good shape for this time of year. That said, no. 8 was closed due to wet conditions, and the bermuda greens are dormant. The greens were slick and brown but rolled true.

Course has a great range and practice area.

Enjoyed very much. Greens were just dressed and plugged with sand but still not bad. Course was busy but still did not have to wait at all which is always great. I will play this course again in the future. My golfing buddy liked it too. He shot his best round ever!..

This is one of my favorite courses to play. It has a challenge factor to is with the some of the rough being quite thick but the course is always in great shape. No matter if you are a pro or a novice this is a course you will want to play over and over again.

customer service was great. Food and snacks good. Golf carts were in great shape and ran well. Parking area clean and plenty of space to park. Entrance sign on HT 96 needs to be larger.

I have had the pleasure and Blessing of playing here many times. This is my home course for several reasons. It has a challenging layout, never know where the wind is coming from, its fair and right in front of you, no gimmicks nor quirks. The course conditions have improved to excellent, the greens are firm and fast, but the thing that distinguishes Champions Run from all the other courses I've played in this area is the Staff. From the time you enter the clubhouse to pick up your cart you are greeted warmly with a smile from Jerry, Bill, Carl,Tabitha, Ray, or Steve. The golf pros Ray and Steve know you by your first name and let you know how much they appreciate your coming to play there. The maintenance staff are all polite and friendly, wave and smile, and will actually stop mowing or whatever until you finish with your shot. The ladies in the grill are all friendly, the carts guys are a hoot, Larry, Eddie, Dakota, and my little buddy. I have been the last one off this course many times and still none of them act like you are a hinderance. Instead they thank you and ask when your are coming back. Ray and Steve will always answer any questions you have about your swing, and Heck Ray is even helping me to fix mine and get better. I may not make the Champions Tour, but I am always a Champion here, as the staff are always Champions.
