Fun little course but overpriced.
I try to come and play here a lot if I'm going to do some iron work or don't have time for a full course. It's usually in decent shape, the greens are a little worn from all the play on them but not bad. I try to find cheaper rates on golfnow, but my only complaint is I think the course is a little overpriced. Paying $34 for a par 3 course seems a little excessive. But if you can find a cheaper rate, walk, or don't care about price its a fun course, especially at night.
Slow slow slow
The pace of play is ridiculous and it's a par 3 course.
Great Par 3 Course
Awesome par 3 course to knock the rust off from the off-season, or if you need to work on your short to mid range game. Can knock out a full 18 in under 2 hours during the week.
Fun Course to Play
I always love coming to Pheasant Run. Whether playing in their Wednesday Men's league or sneaking away during lunch to squeeze in some practice it's a great venue. Staff is great and Golf HQ is only a 300 yard drive away.

Love this course for working on my short game!
Has-been
This course used to be in better shape. Not sure why it's slipping...
Good course, great hamburgers, good beer
A good course, friendly staff.
Thanks for the 5 Stars! Glad you had a great time with us. Come back soon!
Hoses on the green
Yes this is a "value" course but every time I play there's a guy watering a green with a hose dragging across it. When you get to the tee box, he keeps going and doesn't care how his hose could stop your ball. Other than that, it's fair for the price.
We're so sorry for this inconvenience. We will address this issue internally in efforts to make sure that it does not happen again. Thank you for your feedback.
FUN COURSE TO PLAY
THIS IS A NICE COURSE TO PLAY IF YOU WANT TO PRACTICE YOUR IRONS. SOME HOLES REQUIRED A LONG IRON, BUT NEVER USED MY DRIVER.

Pheasant Run golf Course
Pheasant Run Golf Course in O'Fallon MO is a nice little golf course that has a few very difficult holes.
However, the majority are easy Par 3's. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Most would enjoy playing this course.
donaldganderson - We appreciate the 4 star review! Thank you for the kind words regarding our staff. We are always striving to provide the best golfer experience.
We hope to see you back again soon!
Best Junior Golf track in Midwest
This little executive course is one of StL's golf secret gems. It's simply the best designed golf course at Par 60 or under I have ever played. Most every one of the 18 holes is designed like a championship golf hole. The only difference is yardage.
There is not a better course for juniors or beginners to learn on. The course - like a championship layout - gets tougher from the longer tees, and while it's only about 3300 yards from the tips, it is a serious challenge. Water and excellent bunkering make it a great test of golf. But the forward tees give kids a chance at playing a course that feels like a big time track.
For the amount of play it gets, the course is usually in great condition. The greens are true and have subtle breaks. The bunkers could stand to be better taken care of - but as I said, the overall bunkering on this course is up there with any of the big name StL courses.
The price is ridiculously low, and you don't need a cart, though they have them. Their practice facility is never in great shape, but it is All-Grass practice range which is hard to find around these parts.
There's been a For Sale sign on the property, and I really hope this place doesn't get bulldozed for apartments or homes. Again, there's not a better place for kids to learn the game. Pheasant Run is connected to the Family Golf Center, which features an 18-hole Putt-Putt course as well as an 18-hole Pitch & Putt Par 3 course. The Pro Shop there is surprisingly well stocked.
I really hope more people try this place out. I'd hate to see be destroyed for more ugly buildings. I've played golf in 16 states around the country, for over 30 years, and this is truly the best Executive length track I've ever played.
Thank you very much for the 5 star review! We hope we will see you again soon!
Good course
First time playing this course, nice layout but unfortunately we went not long after the flood recently and some of the holes were shutdown but they made up for it by allowing us to play 20 holes instead of 18(played 10 good holes twice) the lodge was under construction due to the flooding but overall staff was nice and the course was fun. Will definitely go back when it's 100% fixed
We appreciate you taking the time to write about your experience with us. Thank you very much for the 4 star rating! We look forward to seeing you again!
Some people don't care.
Course was nice but can't expect things to be top notch as many people that play. Would be much nicer if people actually fixed their ball marks and didn't drag their feet...but what can you do. Some people just don't care.
We agree! We wish more people cared about the courses they played, especially ours! Thank you for the feedback, we appreciate you taking the time to review the course! Hope to see you back soon!
Night Golf Only
The course layout is great and easy but the condition of the course is bad. Greens are loaded with divot marks, Roads were flooded when i played due to rain earlier that week. Mosquitoes here will kill you haha worse then at Emerald green make sure you bring OFF day or night. Course is great for playing at night, grooming your irons or teaching kids how to play. I love playing here for those reasons but if there was another course that had night golf i wouldnt hesitate to forget about this course should be a $20 course.
Thank you dshrop, for taking the time to review our course. We're sorry to hear that the conditions weren't great and that you would forget about us if we didn't offer night golf. We appreciate your feedback and hope to see you back soon for a round of night golf!
Not in bad condition but short.
Very very short course. I would only use it again if I wanted to strictly work on irons because that's practically all I used. Also don't park near the 18th hole. My friend pulled with literally a 3 hour old car (right off the lot) and within the 5 mins of loading the cart his car got hit with a ball. They need to put up a net or wall of some kind. Oh and they obviously claim to be not liable for damaged property.
Thanks for taking the time to let us know what we can improve on. We're sorry to hear about your friend's car and will pass along your suggestion. Hopefully we'll see you back next time you want to work on your irons!
