Compass Pointe Golf Club - South/West Course

The conditions were so so, I have seen better at Compass Pointe. The tee boxes were ok and for the most part, the fairways were perfect in most spots and there were some areas where you could see they were doing some work. Greens were better than average but overall good enough to stay on line.

Went out for a round of relaxing golf and got that. 4 hour round despite a packed course. Excellent conditions. Good greens. So worth it. Only negative is the absence of water stations especially with the immense heat.

First time playing here, really enjoyed the course and the layout. They had just finished hosting a tournament the week prior and had some fairway replacement in progress. Not enough to detract from play. We got a great rate from Golf Now app for a 3:36 tee time and the only issue was the timing put us at hole 18 looking straight in to the sun. Still hit the best shot of the day on a dogleg left. Thank you!

Great public course with 4 9-holes for variety. Staff is friendly and professional. Very nice driving range and putting green.

Course was showing signs of stress from recent hot weather. Lots of ball marks and it looked like nobody was rakiing bunkers or fixing ball marks. Could your a course Marshall or two. Nice course for sure.

Staff failed to tell us we were staring on Hole 10 that day. Wasted time driving to Hole 1 which put us under pressure to tee off with folks now waiting.

Gave us the wrong score card so we couldn’t reference the hole stats during play. Besides the staff member who was asleep at the wheel, it’s a well maintained and challenging course.

Nice course, I played North & East. Rough only due to all the rain but still in good shape. Great putting green and driving range.

Failed to tell me that we were teeing off on the back nine (Hole 10) to start the day. Gave me the wrong scorecard. We played Northeast and he gave us a Southwest scorecard. This meant that if we didn't remember the stats at the tee box, we didn't know the hole par. These twp problems were very annoying and wasted time for us having to go back to the clubhouse twice.

When we picked up the cart, the gentleman working did not tell me that I had to start our round at Hole 10. We arrived at Hole #1 without the rest of the 4some and the greens were being cut so we had to return to the desk to find out that we were supposed to start at Hole #10. To add insult to injury, the same guy gave us a score card for the Southwest course and only the Northeast course was open that day. So we could not keep proper score and had to guess the Par of the hole if we didn’t remember from the tee box. It was super annoying and wasted. When we arrived at Hole 10 we were rushed through by a huge group (7-8 full carts) who were trying to tee off. Ultimately, the start of the day ruined the rest of the round and it was a horrible day on the course.

For the most part the course was in good shape. The typical problem areas for this course were still the same. Greens were very slow.

Course is in good shape. I just wish they would fill up the water stations. It is too hot to not have the option to fill up water bottles. Cart girl was great but you don’t see them enough on hot days to make up for not having water stations.

Play here as muchas I can; beautiful course and has continued to get nicer and nicer over the years
