Olomana Golf Links

About
Olomana Golf Links features an interesting layout that consists of two distinctly different nines, but both are equally challenging. Although it is a relatively short golf course, the many formidable challenges will keep golfers on their toes. The front nine is relatively flat with water hazards on every hole, while the back nine has irregular, rolling hills that are dotted with strategically placed sand bunkers. Prevailing trade winds are also always a factor on the golf course. The signature hole is the par-3 eighth, which features a semi-island green that is well protected by sand bunkers and coconut trees. In addition to the interesting layout, Olomana Golf Links also offers scenic views of the Ko’olau Mountain Range. The course has become a favorite among Oahu locals.

The staff are friendly and the environment is great.
I like the staff and the environment. The area is scenic.
Bright future
This is a fun coarse! They are doing a lot of work on it . You can tell when they are done it will be very nice . Bright future ahead.
Olo
Busiest I've ever seen it. Allowing a 6-some always changes the pace but for $18 totally worth it. Could still do some more work to flatten out the fairways
Great vacation golf
Great vacation golf on a course with plenty of challenges and different holes. Good use of water to add to the challenge.
Greens were not great but overall conditions ok and friendly Pro shop staff.
Much better options on Oahu
Lots of firm/ bare spots in fairways. Greens were average at best. Nothing exceptional with the service. Overall a easy course but for the price I wouldn't play here again unless I got a cheap twilight deal.
Scenic, but the tradewinds demand your attention.
Some gorgeous views of the Koolau Mountains, but the tradewinds will make you keep your focus on the course. It was a quiet Monday round. The course was in very good shape, but had some wet areas from heavy rain the night before.
Very playable
The different holes make it a unique golf course with interesting terrain
Olomana
Got a good deal on hot deals. I hadn't been to this course before, an thought I'd give it a try. Friendly staff. Unfortunately, a major rain early morning had a few of the back nine to wet to play well. But overall, loved the pace of play. No back up, or push. Most fairways well kept. Greens average.
Course is in terrible condition
Fairways were in terrible shape.
Yardage markers were way off.
Greens were spongey and slow.
Overall course conditions for the money were HORRIBLE..
Good course great potential...
We played our round on a cloudy/rainy day with a little wind and the course was not in the best shape, it held a HS state golf tournament the day before.
That said, the course played real nice, great holes and layout. Some really fun and challenging holes. Would recommend a golf cart for your round, especially on the hilly back 9. Awesome views and scenery all around. Very friendly staff.
Would recommend it for anyone looking to play a nice course at a good price!
Slow play behind league
This course is on the wet side of the island so it's normally cart path only. I caught up to the group in front of me by the 5th hole. It was a league that plays there regularly and they play 3 groups of 6! It was impossible to pass this group who played like they were the only ones on the course. It may have been more appropriate to let the other golfers out on the back nine first. Anyway the course was nice even though it took more than six hours to complete behind the league.
very nice course
greens were in great condition course was the best I've ever seen it. good fun..........go
Olomana Golf Links, a local favorite
Tourists staying in posh hotels won't dig the charms of Olomana.
It's a locals hangout because of its affordable tee times. In full disclosure, I haven't played Olomana since my first trip to Oahu way back in 1997, but I did stop in to take pictures and tour the course in 2013.
It was just as I remembered it. A Low-key vibe. A little scruffy. Overall, some nice hills and solid holes.
A 13-year-old phenom named Michelle Wie learned to play at Olomana, which is located on the windward side of the Ko'olau Mountains about 35 minutes from Waikiki. President Obama has played there a time or two as well.
The CEO of Pacific Links International, the new owner of Olomana, promised me that upgrades will eventually happen. Olomana could use a little TLC to unlock its potential.
sixsomes no good
I was fine. I like the course the people are friendly and things were moving smoothly till the tenth hole. the sixsome had just let a twosome go through so when I showed up behind them they were in no hurry to let me through. seriously at a par three they did not let me pass. not good.
COURSE WAS NOT IN THE BEST CONDITION
BECAUSE OF RAINS A FEW DAYS BEFORE, 2 HOLES WERE UNPLAYABLE AND TURNED INTO PAR 3'S. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO OFFER A RAIN CHECK OR DISCOUNT.
NOT HAPPY WITH MY ROUND FOR THE PRICE WE PAID!
good holes and great scenery
excellent friendly staff..............good to challenging holes
Beautiful mountain views
Olomana is a pretty good golf experience. The course is not too hard, great variations in terrain, friendly staff, and has beautiful mountain views. Some of the course is a little rough, but with the beautiful views I give it 4 stars.
fairways need help but GREAT VIEWS!
Fairways are lumpy, muddy. Greens are good. Wondering if our President still plays here when he comes....
They need a marshall patrolling the course
Pace of play was a big issue, and there was no marshall to try and speed things up. At one point 4 teenagers just jumped in front of us with only one bag between them all. I did notice on their website that they allow 6-somes so that could contribute to slow play as well. There are some nice views of the mountain range bisecting the southern tip of Oahu. We saw a few wild pigs on the course also.
Fairways need work!
Best thing that i can say is that the staff was very pleasant and helpful. The course needs some attention. water hazards were empty, sand traps were in poor shape as well. My biggest issue is with the fairways, they were rock hard and full of potholes. Nothing worse than hitting a great shot down the fairway and finding your ball in a pothole that is on ground that is hard as concrete.
