The course is average for the area.
Booked on teeoff and showed up early for the tee time to see if we could get off earlier.
The pro shop said yes if you pay another 150.00 for 2 hr early . Dont think so.
Went for lunch and came back and they said I owe them money even when I prepaid on teeoff.
Didn't pay them more as I showed them my reservation #.
Still made me wait.
The starter was great . He was able to get us out earlier and because of very slow play he let us play the front nine again after the turn.
The two groups in front of us were so slow it was frustrating no marshal on the course.
Greens are in ok shape but lots of divots on them with some repairs going on some greens.
Bunkers have rakes but no one rakes so lift and place in the bunkers.
Fairways are soft and spongy have to pick it clean.
Will not play this course again.
This course has a nice layout.
Heavy rain the day before but course was still in pretty good condition. A little wet in areas but the greens where still fast and true.
I will definitely be playing this course again.
Great Course-Great Condition
Very friendly and helpful staff. Good practice range. Course is close to immaculate. The holes offer a nice range of challenge without being punishing. The greens are smooth and in super condition —though I need some more Hawaiian rounds to get used to the turf type. Landscaping is beautiful, with lots of colorful birds. Really delightful.
Had a great experience at the Waikele Country Club. The staff were great and friendly. Views were awesome!
Beautiful course too bad that the snack car was closed and no water given to you with the cart. notice that there is some problem with the gps tracking as he detected we were on Green whereas we were on the Carpath. Si we were stuck and lost Time. Good expérience anyway
At the 18th hole, there was a 45 minute wait while 4 foursomes we’re waiting to tee up we started on the 10th hole so slim chance we will get to complete course in less than 4 hours
Where the Marshal??
Magnificent hillside golf club near Honolulu
My wife and I recently played 3 courses on our Oahu trip. Royal Kunia, Ewa Beach and Wiakele CC Of the three this one definitely made you feel like you were driving into a special place. Flowering plants and trees everywhere. Signature golf holes with exquisite waterfalls and foliage plus top flight golf conditions to boot made this our most enjoyable experience. Weather conditions were harsh when we played this course with misting rain hitting us intermittently on the front line as well as 25 mph winds. Due to the weather conditions play was quite light. Therefore we often took shelter in our golf cart with an umbrella when conditions worsened. The back nine was played in sunshine but still Highwinds.
Tee boxes, fairways, rough and greens were in excellent shape. The greens ran a little slower than at Ewa beach.
The course meanders through the foothills north and west of downtown Honolulu. Elevation changes were significant with some par three holes playing at least 30 to 50 feet downhill well some Par-four and par five holes would climb elevations of 75 to 200 feet.
This course is big and Brony with four sets of tees. Water is brought into play on several holes which is unique for a hillside course. The signature part three and part four holes are quite special and especially picturesque. We will definitely return back to this club on our next trip to Honolulu.
