Waikele Country Club
About
Waikele Country Club sprawls across the gently sloping landscape of Waipio, just west of Waikiki. The golf course overlooks Pearl Harbor with views stretching to Diamond Head. The layout features rolling fairways and undulating greens, which are accented with strategically placed bunkers. Ted Robinson designed the course, incorporating his signature water features throughout. Keeping the ball in play off the tee is integral to scoring well on this layout. The fourth hole is a short par 4 that is known for being one of the course's greatest challenges. It plays downwind, requiring a skillful lay-up off the tee in order to set up the short-iron approach to the two-tiered green that is protected by a pond. On Waikele Country Club's back nine, the 17th is another favorite hole amongst players. Beginning on an elevated tee, the hole plays to a deep, narrow green with water and a small sand bunker to the front.

Scenery
Nice course, with some challenging holes. Very beautiful acerbity as well.
COVID-19 Play
Course was prepared for play under COVID-19 condition from check-in, time to show up at starter, and golf cart. Had to get used to on green when holing out since hole was above ground. Was impressed with condition of the course during stay at home order. Management pre-planned when golf course was to reopen so kept it in shape.
Love to play Waikele Golf Club
I enjoy playing Waikele. It's a big course. The course has a nice layout. People who work in the shop and outside, are great. Bad news was condition required cart path only, a little bit of walking.
Beautiful scenery, friendly staff
Thoroughly enjoyed playing this scenic and well maintained golf course. Especially with the GN hot deal. Greens were in excellent shape, they were tough, but ran true. Fairways were damp in some places, but not bad. Beautiful scenes of Pearl Harbor, Honolulu, and Diamond Head. Will definitely play here again.
Great condition
Great work by Marshall to monitor pace of play and directed us around a group of beginners we encountered midway through our round.
Great course
I booked this on GolfNow a few days before I was to play. Course was in great shape and plenty of challenges. Played from championship tees and scored about an average for the course difficulty. I would honestly not even think about playing anywhere else on Oahu. I drove by Ko olina and this seems like a better layout and about same quality. Greens rolled well and rest of the course was well maintained.
All good. Going back again.
All divets were filled. No ball marks on greens. Public course? Cleaner than some private courses.
Wiakele
A very well maintained golf course. The greens were reasonably quick. We played from the gold tees which had been moved to the red boxes which made the course a little short for me but was ok for my playing partner. The white tees were back so they were not an option. Overall a good experience.
Fun golf course
Weikele is a beautiful course, challenging but not tricked up or impossible. Men’s tees are about 6200 yds- 5800 from the Srs. Nice GPS system on the carts is a big help. Nice clubhouse and pro shop give the course the feel of a club.
Beautiful course with well maintained fairway
The course was beautiful and the green and the fairway was well maintained.
The staffs were very kind.
Slow pace of play
Had 2 groups of 4 in front of us and not once did we see the course Marshall driving around to keep pace of play moving along.
Pro shop staff
Very unfriendly older Asian woman works there. Treats customers as a nuisance rather than valuing their business.
Great Course everyone of the staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely will be coming back for another 18.
Holiday outing
Course in great shape from the fairway to the green.
No fault to the course, we got stuck behind a fivesome that was extremely slow, two holes behind group in front. Where was the Marshall? The only complaint.
Exellent Conditions, layout and staff
The course was excellent. Visiting from the mainland and the course was in excellent condition, the layout tough and fair and the staff was super friendly. Highly recommend this course.
Want to play it again (and again)
The course was well kept. I withheld the 5th star because a couple soggy areas. The restroom code provided by the cart was incorrect. The staff was polite and accommodating. Played the entire round in 3 hours 40 minutes, so pace was amazing. It was a great time on a great course.
Beautiful lush course
Golfed this course while visiting family recently. Good rates for locals. Tee boxes just aerated. Greens were in decent shape and some had some tricky reads. If you hit off of the fairway a lot this course will be challenging as the rough is not typical of Mainland courses. The course is pretty forgiving with the exception of the bunkers. Many of the bunkers were fairly wet without standing water. BEWARE of the winds as they need to be considered on many of the holes. Enjoyed our round!!
After arriving at the course I went to check in for my 137 tee time. The pro shop told me they had just got off the phone earlier but thought I was playing 9 holes. I said no I booked 18 and after mass confusion for which they had no real info on me other than my name, they charged me 100 bucks. It was booked for 90 minus the 17 which was already paid to golf now so I ended up paying 117. They jammed the golfers in and called for the carts back at 530 so I ended up playing 15 holes. By the time I got back the pro shop was closed so I couldn’t talk to anyone. It’s too bad because it was a nice course. I could of played another 1/2 hour at least before it got dark.
