Golf Hammock Country Club

I am a year round member. Course has really been going down hill from lack of up keep. Seems whenever owner comes into town, things get done. When he leaves, everything stops. If a number of us do not see a big improvement this year, some of us probably will not be members next year. Sad too, because it could be a great course.

Over all great experience. Course was well maintained. Traveled an hour and half to play this course and was not disappointed.

Down visiting family from Wisconsin looking for a place to play had lots of tee times tried it and wasn't disappointed great track for the price.

Good experience. Was paired with another two some and they were friendly. Believe they lived GH community and were members of CG. Very slow play on that Saturday morning. Would return again but would want to plat at a faster pace!

While it's not rated as one of the more difficult courses, it does have some challenging holes with water, sand traps, and trees placed in strategic locations lining the fairways

I can't talk enough about the lay-out. As everyone has stated it has a great lay-out that is challenging and fun. Forget that its only 6400 from the tips, you have to hit some shots to score well. With that being said, the new owner is working hard to make some improvements, but the greens just need some work. I personal don't care how the greens look, I care how they roll. They look ok at first, but they are slow, slow, slow, and bumpy as all get-out. The ball has to be rolling with some speed when it falls or it could turn either way at the end as the ball slows.
I live here in Golf Hammock and want so badly for these greens to be faster and roll more true. I enjoy playing here, because of the challenging shots you have to make, but also want to enjoy putting here.
Give this course a shot, it is a great challenging layout, and it is coming around. Its a good value and hopefully in the next few seasons the greens will be up to par, the new ownership seems to be really working towards making some serious improvements.

Staff was super friendly. Parking is not a pleasure.

This course is in good condition in the fall, but suffers from drought by February and March. New owners making a real effort to improve the course and conditions.

Compared to other courses in the area, this course was on the high end.

The course needs some attention in places. A couple of fairways are suffering from the lack of rain.
Overall, a good course that could be great, given time and a little
cooperation from mother nature...

Love Golf now and the Hammock cousre was wonderful ,fairways need some work

In Feb the Bermuda grass course ( overseeded w/annual rye) is greening up again. Generally well tended but a couple of greens had sketchy areas of damaged turf. This is a fun course for mid to high handicappers that plays long on a windy day. Pick the right tee boxes.

Played Golf Hammock yesterday. All staff we had any contact with seemed genuinely pleased to see us. The course was in great condition, and a pleasure to play. Would recommend without any reservations.

Love the Ron Garl designed courses, especially this one. A unique lay out. Not pristine but well maintained. Greens roll true, mid to fast paced. Staff is friendly. Carts have windshields & rain cover for bags. Will play this course again.
