Chehalem Glenn Golf Club sprawls across beautifully hilly terrain, providing a course that is not for the faint of heart. The course is defined by the dramatic changes in elevation, which can make it tough to walk. The steep hills make this a tough golf course even for high handicappers. Uphill, downhill, and sidehill lies abound and you'll also face forced carries to narrow landing areas as well as blind layup shots. The more open front nine is player friendly and the back nine is where it gets tougher with mostly tree-lined holes and more strategically placed bunkers. The golf course is as scenic as it is challenging with elevated tees and greens that overlooks the surrounding hills and valleys. The beauty and difficulty of the course has built Chehalem Glenn Golf Club a reputation as one of the greater Portland area's must-play courses.

Challenging Course

The course has many elevation changes. It also has many hazards of water and sand traps guarding the greens. Greens were slow when we played

Tough But Fun

I enjoyed this course, but am thankful I played from the white tees rather than farther back. Many holes have forced carries and/or steep hills to contend with. In fact, my wife’s normal driving distance would not allow her to reach the fairway from the red tees on several holes. Definitely wise to plan out your shots before teeing off on each hole. The greens tend to be challenging too, but this is mitigated by the fact that they run relatively slow. Practice area is nice. All in all, a fun place to play.

Greens were soggy & very slow. Also, there was a huge pile of bird poop on the roof of golf cart.

A good, long walk

Great test of endurance and shot making. The hills really get you on the back nine and the greens felt a little shaggy but overall a great day at a really good course

Rolling greens should be the name

Great course. nice staff. Definitely rent a cart on the hot days. It can be walked if it isn't hot. Challenging fairways, greens are in excellent condition and very fast. I was paired with 3 others great guys had a really good time. 👍

Outstanding Conditioning

I have always appreciated the care and thoughtfulness involved in maintaining the flowers on the tee boxes. They are absolutely beautiful, this time of year! But, this time I played, I was also impressed with the outstanding turf conditions in the fairways and the green complexes. This is one of my favorite courses to play in the greater Portland area.

Nice Course!

Not much in the way of food to take n the course, but front 9 was great. Back nine was challenging as it is a lot of hills and ravines.

Walked

Great place!

First time at CG, what a nice place! Nice range and short game/putting area. The course is in a beautiful location and a very challenging course.

Severe elevation changes and forced carries to greens/fairwars. Greens were smooth, but a bit slower than i would expect. Course in nice shape overall.

I walk 99% of courses i play, and if i had a muligan i would of taken a cart. This is a serious walk, even if you are in good shape. Legs were shot by 14th hole.
