Country Lake Golf Club

I've played the course several times, 6-7 at least over the last couple of years. The last two years, slow play out here has been awful. I have quit at least 3-4 rounds at the turn due to excessively slow play (2.5hrs-3hrs just to get to the turn). It would be one thing if the tee sheet online reflected this-it doesn't so you go into it expecting a brisk round and end up waiting on every hole. I do generally find players here to allow singles and doubles through and the staff is extremely polite. Course is in decent to good shape and is fun and more challenging than would be expected from the length on the card. I just wish they could do more about the slow play. If you can get out there on a day it's not crowded, I would recommend it highly as a fun course.

As usual they have it in Great shape fairways and Greens are perfect the T Boxes need some TLC

but I’ve seen much worse.

Got rained out after 5 holes. Thunder Lightning and the HORN that ended playing. How do I get a Raincheck??? Can you help??

I love the course and not a great value for the money. The only complaint I have had in my years of playing there is that the course is it cut properly near the greens. You can hit a great shot, be one foot off the green, and be in thick grass. Other than that...love playing there.

Love this course. Greens and fairways were in good condition. The tee boxes had a lot to be desired. It's a fun coarse to play with some challenging holes. I would definitely recommend this coarse and play it again.

Normally play this course & can play at a decent pace.

Today it was abysmal. Sometimes 3 - 4 groups on a hole and constantly waiting on tees. I usually enjoy playing here, but when I come back again, if it is this slow, I am not sure I will be back.

Played this course a handful of times. Price is great and fits the course. This place just reopened a few weeks ago from the Covid 19 shutdown. Greens were GREAT! Tee boxes still pretty fresh. Fairways were GREAT. The rough was just high enough to make it hard to find your ball if you hit it there. Club house was limited on what they were serving, but due to the Covid 19 situation, it’s understandable. Would recommend this course for an intermediate or new player.

Lately, I have been frustrated with the courses in Wentzville, and Troy for the extremely slow play and the loud music coming from golf carts. With no Marshall to speed up play rounds were five hours or more! This was not the case here, the golfers were very courteous and practiced good etiquette, this made the round great!

As always it is pure enjoyment playing one of my favorite courses...due to the fact that the course is quite eye appealing and challenging at the same time.

Love this course. Its relatively short, but you've got to hit good shots. There are a few tricky holes. We played in late November so there were leaves everywhere, it was cart path only, the fairways were pretty beat up, and so we're the greens. This is to be expected in Missouri in late November. During the warmer months, this course is usually excellent.

The course has tons of blind shots and few yardage indicators or hole mapping tools. A local would appreciate this course more, but not ideal.

The greens were in good shape, but the fairways were rough and the sand traps unplayable. The Black tee box's additional yardage was made up on a few holes and ot well dispersed.

Overall had a great time. Pace of play on back 9 was a little slow due to so many foursomes. Being 68 degrees outside I did not mind the wait as it was a great day for golf and this course has a lot of scenic views. Bunkers are in pretty bad shape but course overall is a great value

I have played at Country Lake probably 75 times over the last 15 years. Very disappointed that they are letting the course go to pot. No sand in any of the bunkers, some of the fairways have huge bare spots and some of the greens have crab grass growing through the turf which makes putting a problem. Not to mention, most of the carts are beat up and don't run well. In the last 15 years, I have never seen the course in worse shape.
