Beating the heat
The course was in great shape. Thoroughly enjoyed playing it.
Stepping up their game
This course has really evolved since last time I played here. Brand new GPS tracking carts, well maintain fairways and greens, even a new layout with the hole #s. Overall very impressed. Worth every penny.
Course is in excellent condition
The fairways and greens are in great shape. This course is always fun to play and can be a little intimidating at times. I would recommend it for all player skills.
Worth the drive
I drove 55 minutes to get to this course. As you drive in, you can see one of the approach shots of a short par four! Fantastic layout, played on the Sunday of Memorial weekend, and NEVER WAITED!
I met Angie at check in, and she was INCREDIBLY HELPFUL and nice! I’ll DEFINITELY be coming back!
Off at 5
Yesterday as a member of the course playing my son, also a member, were asked to turn in our cart at 5 when we had a tee time for 4:03. This is ridiculous and outrageous. Why let me book a 4:03 tee time and have my cart taken at 5:00.
As a member I expect to play most days. I will not be allowed to play 5 days out of the last 10 due to tournaments. We are never told anything as members of what is going on.
Slow play and groups of 5 and 6 are always on the course. Course is in great shape as always, I am not sure they understand memberships and good golf etiquette at Woods Fort.
Best Value in the State
I’ve played a ton of courses in Missouri. A ton. They all have their strong points, but they also have their weak points. Some are stunning to play, but the service or pace of play is terrible. This course, Woods Fort, breaks that standard and raises the bar for how a public course should be. The clubhouse is immaculate, the course is challenging yet extremely fair, and the people working are some of the nicest you’ll find. The price is well worth it. Great bargain.
Had a great time playing Woods Fort. Side note: probably the most comfortable good cart seat I have sat on.
As the day goes it gets backed up, once you tee off access to clubhouse only 2 times. No cart attendant, restaurant is currently under renovation, (typically very good food).
They are putting quite a bit of money into improvements over the last year, we will see what it all leads too. Only real complaint is it’s getting more crowded, though I believe that’s their intent. All about the Bens.
I feel it should be advertised that the greens have been aerated. You could not get a ball to bit on an approach shot nor could you keep a putt on line. It's like playing plinko . But the course itself is great. The layout is so nice.
This Course Keeps Improving!
I live outside the state these days, but each time I get back in the Area, I try to play Woods Fort Golf Course! Great Value and Continuing Improvements are a couple of reasons why I keep coming back!. The Greens were Good, a little bumpy and a bit slow. Fairways were Very well Manicured and the rough fair. I’ll be back!
Everything seems to be in good shape everything is maintained for a true roll on greens for your money it’s hard to pass up I live close to it and to a outsider it feels like a hidden gem!
For the price, this course was excellent. Staff was helpful and friendly, carts are brand new with gps. Only negative thing to say was pace of play was a little slow with groups out in front. Everything else was great, will play again here.
