Great bargain and good place to practice!
For a park district course this place is surprisingly well maintained.
I enjoyed my game there very much and I found that their fairways and green were exceptional for the price. The village of Northbrook takes pride in their parks and public spaces and it shows!
The prace area has to very smooth rolling practice greens and sand traps adjacent to them for practicing your bunker shots and that part is free.
I definitely recommend playing here if you don't mind being accommodating with players in front of you who might be a little slower because it is indeed a worthwhile place for a place round and a great bargain for the money.

Worst course of all time
Greens are destroyed. Might as well be somebody’s backyard.

Haters gonna hate
I saw a lot of hater reviews of this course but honestly for 11 bucks it’s a pretty nice par 3 course that you can walk in about an hour . Great place to start as a beginner or just getting out for a quick round .

a course for juniors not serious weekend players
A boy and girl (Juniors) in front of me play slow. actually the boy is teach the girl who average 30 yard per shot....

Short Game Practice
Bring a PW a SW and a putter. Thats all you need for this course. One hole thats over 175 yards. See how far you can push that PW.... fun and relaxing. Great Staff

Overbooked
The course was very overcrowded. There were three to four foursomes grouped at each tee box waiting their turn. I've never seen two groups bunched together, let alone 3-4. 9 holes at this course would average about 45-50 minutes playing at a moderate pace. We were on a 2 1/2 hour pace.
No maintenance
The greens and tees have been ignored all season. Almost no grass on the tees and the greens have not had a divot fixed in months. I know this is a tiny par 3 course but the pretty scenery is ruined by the poor conditions.
Nice layout
Nice course. Very short. About 1100 or 1200 yards for nine holes. All holes are par threes with the longest being 186 yards. Very good course conditions and great for short game practice. I recommend this place.
Four Stars? Note other reviewers "Course Difficulty" is all "n/a"!
Tee boxes are hard and half bare. Old, unrepaired ball marks on greens caused me to miss a put. Admittedly, it was mid August, but this summer saw record rain earlier in the season. I assumed with a "Four Star" rating(!) based on a dozen reviews that this would be a 2,500-3000 yard 9-hole track. Or a well-maintained 2,200 minimum. Ya got me... I didn't check before booking. Course was mostly empty at 10:30 mid-week.
