Snail's pace
Great course but the pace of play was terrible. The starter made a big deal about us keeping pace the group ahead of us. The round took about 5.5 hours and we waited on nearly every shot. Course was in great shape so not a bad overall.

Long Round
4:45 hours on the course is unacceptable! The pace was horrible and the rangers are useless and should Re retire.
The greens look great and hold but they are slow and not true.
I would not recommend this course at all!!
Pro course lots of hills
So this is the first time playing Foxford Hills. Let me say that this course is some pro level play. Lots of hills and bunkers that are deep! Beautiful layout and in pristine condition. Tee boxes were in pretty rough shape but overall a really awesome course to play. I will be back this coming week to see if I can improve my score. Shot a 106 excellent staff that’s very accommodating. Well worth the money to play a real pro rated course.

One of the best courses in Chicago area! Great layout and challenges. Only knock the greens a bit beat up but a must play

Overbooked
Overbooked their tee times just to make a few extra bucks. Added 5somes on mid morning tee times when thrboacenof play was not sufficient. Should’ve left more space behind them. Created a log jam.

Rudest golf staff ever!!!
This course has the absolute rudest golf staff in the history of the world. Everyone from the starter to the pro shop staff to the head pro were some of the rudest and most disrespectful people I have ever met. I saw a few reviews alluding to the above but wasn’t sure how accurate they were, I can now confirm they were extremely accurate. I’m still amazed at how rude, demeaning, and inconsiderate the staff here is. Save your money and go play one of the other 10 courses in the area where the staff doesn’t treat people with complete and total disrespect.
This is an interesting review, there were no pace of play issues on August 17th. There were no customer/staff negative interactions and to be honest the golf pro wasn’t even here on this day. Are you sure you got the right course?

Solid course but slow.
I’ve played this many times and it’s a great setup with some challenging holes but it always has the potential of being a long round. There was a backup on 10 and took 15 minutes to tee off. This particular round was 5 hours long. And the beer girls disappeared after hole 10. Still worth coming back… especially if you’re the first tee time of the day!

Horrible pace of play and terrible attitude by rangers
Have played this course many times. However, the pace of play was horrendous. Further, the have rangers driving around doing nothing. They are grumpy, crotchety old men who have terrible attitudes. Will not play this course again and would not recommend it to anyone. It took over 5 1/2 hours yesterday

Never playing here again
Probably the rudest staff of any golf course I've ever been to. It's too bad because the course is decent but with so many other options in the Chicagoland area, I'll go somewhere where the staff isn't rude and entitled. If you even think of taking a breakfast ball here the starter will have a complete meltdown and start yelling and screaming. I've never seen anything like it in my 15 years of playing golf. First he's yelling about how that's not USGA rules...well good thing I'm just out here having a casual round with some friends. Then they're freaking out because they say it will cause a pace issue...well that's funny because we waited on every shot starting on the #2 tee box so clearly your pace of play is already horrible. Imagine if they forced every player out there to play by "USGA" rules at all times...how would that affect the pace? You say my one breakfast ball is affecting pace of play when you have no rangers on the course and each round is a minimum of 4.5 hours, even on weekdays. The staff in the pro shop backed up the starter saying absolutely no breakfast balls allowed at Foxford hills. Seems like such a silly rule, especially when the starter tries to enforce it by having a complete meltdown. I will never play this course again the rest of my life and will tell every person I know to do the same. Absolute joke of a staff...
Thank you for your review. Unfortunately, you didn’t highlight the following in your “review”. 1. Late for your tee time. 2. Held up other groups behind you on the first tee by taking a breakfast ball after being asked not to. 3 of the 4 of you did after the starter asked you to refrain from doing that. And that is after each of you hit the ball on the fairway. 3. Told the Assistant Pro he was {SLUR} 50 times and made a scene in the clubhouse. 4. Called our pro shop manager choice words because she told you to knock your behavior off and leave. Instead you swore at her numerous times and mimicked her voice then put your fist up like you were going to hit her. 5. Lunged at the pro shop manager and pro because you think your behavior will be tolerated by any staff and you were wronged because you didn’t follow the rules. 6. Embarrassed 2 or 3 of your friends that kept their mouths shut but yet didn’t tell you to stop which made them guilty by association. 7. Called the bar tender a couple choice words after she told you she wasn’t your psychologist and that you were told politely not to take a breakfast ball after being late to the tee. She asked you to stop and you got more hostile. Video doesn’t lie as everything you complained about didn’t stop you from sitting at the bar after your round. We are guessing you developed liquid courage? 8. Said our pace of play was too slow. Our pace is 4.5 hours and has been for 20 years. This was established by the USGA and CDGA when we opened in 2002. You played in 4 hours 10 minutes after being late to the tee. So per your statement please tell your 20 year old friends what you did that day. Two sides to every story. You left a lot out and lied about your day. Also, please learn some golf etiquette because you haven’t in 15 years of playing golf. Threatening staff, using foul language, not following simple golf etiquette. Remember it’s a gentleman’s game.
