Cobh course with exceptional views of Cork Ireland Photo submitted by Dots77 on 06/15/2016
Cobh in the summer
As always cobh never misses, the only complaint is two women wouldn’t let us through for four holes,
Experience as gem
Great course, Shame about the greens
Cobh Golf Course is a great course. Many interesting and challenging holes. Unusual in having 5 par3s and 5 par 5s. It’s quite a hilly course so be ready for a bit of up and down with a variety of lies. The greens are quite curvaceous and make for lots of interesting putts.
The only issue was the condition of the greens. There were too many unrepaired pitch marks; I lost count of how many I repaired as I went round. There was also, unfortunately, a lot of bird damage which spoilt the overall experience. On a couple of the greens a divot had been taken out of the green.
I would play Cobh again, and I would expect the greens condition to be better.
Geordie review
The guy in the pro shop was very helpful and chatty, fairways a little long but greens in good shape. Second time playing the course and really enjoyed it.
Will definitely be back

Cobh Golf Club
The course is in great condition and the greens were very good.
Hilly course and a good challenge.
Hire a buggy?
Cobh is a lovely golf course but be prepared to work hard if you don't hire a buggy. The greens were in good condition and even after very heavy rain over the previous days there were only one or two slightly wet lies.
The views were stunning and all the staff extremely friendly.
If travelling on a trip around Ireland with the town of Cobh so close for an overnight stay it is a must to play.
