Hills galore but fun course. Confusing 7th hole , could have signage on ‘how to” as your supposed to skip the hole and hit over to extension…. Weird way to do it. We were told at the outset that this was the case but did not understand what we were supposed to do once we got there….
Quail ridge
Mostly narrow course, not for beginners. Even some decent playing golfers with me lost many balls to obstacles and the woods.
Review
Loved this course. Very fun to play, very different style of holes. Good fairway width
Little tight, little hilly
Nice New England woodsy track. We walked it with push carts, no problem but be ready for a couple of steep climbs. Narrow fairways but fair… could be very tough from the back tees. Starter was helpful with first timer advice. Greens, fairways traps in good shape.
Tougher than I expected
I am new to golf so not a course issue per se but the course has a steep learning curve. Tight with water hazards and bog in many locations it is not a course to go alone without someone who has played it before. The green locations were confusing at times because of some practice locations along the course. Bring extra balls. Very pretty although surroundings somewhat lessened by sounds of dogs barking in the distance due to close by kennel.
5 Loops at Quail Ridge So Far
I have played here 5 times since the beginning of September. Can’t play 18 during the week now since my grandchildren went back to school. I needed to find a 9 hole course for Saturday morning. I found a great one!! Quail Ridge is one of those hidden gem golf courses. It’s a challenging nine holes with a strong slope rating from all the tees. Interesting holes, water on some, forced carries off the tee and bunkers on all of them. Beautiful tees, fairways and greens and an absolutely gorgeous clubhouse. Just up the street from the Rte. 2 rotary in Acton. You need to play here, you’ll love it!!!
It was just ok
Reading the reviews, I thought this place would be worth trekking out of the city to check out. It was just ok. Very friendly starter and pace of play was surprisingly quick. Didn’t love the layout, once you get past the first 3 holes they all feel the same. Short par 4’s that are 3 wood/ short iron. It’s really tight, most holes if you aren’t in the fairway or second cut off the tee, you’re gone. I was a little disappointed by the conditions, greens were beat up, and seemed like no one repaired their ball marks which was a shame. Overall, enjoyable but I would drive 40 mins again to go play it.
Great Course to play!
I had a really fun time playing this course. The Staff was friendly and very professional and the course was very challenging. I recommend this course for anyone who's in the local area.
Great
Place was great. Course was fun, yet challenging, and in great condition. Would definitely recommend.
