International Golf Club - Oaks Course

About
The International Golf Club boasts two championship courses, the Oaks and the Pines. Tom Fazio designed the Oaks Course, it was his first design in New England. Overlooking the lush Nashua River Valley, the course has a scenic and diverse landscape that Fazio fully utilized. The Oaks is routed alongside the Pines Course, which is known for being the longest course in the world. Fazio carefully molded the existing topography and also incorporated several waste bunkers for added challenge. Although it is considerably shorter than the club's original golf course, it is still a round that will formidably test your skills. The course finishes with a downhill par 5 that will test both your distance and accuracy with a tree-lined fairway and a green protected by bunkers, grass swales, and waste areas.

Great layout
A great layout, but the pace of pay was pretty slow. Also, the conditions were very good given that it is November in New England but I don't think the conditions were good enough for the fee of $99.
$50 - $60 would have been more in order.
Challenging course with firm and fast greens
Great course with firm and fast greens. Worth the splurge for a relaxing and challenging round. The only complaint I have is that the bunkers vary a lot with some too soft and some quite firm. The International has a great short game area to practice a variety of shots in addition to grass tees on the range. The practice bunker area is a bit rocky and it needs more sand.
Great design
Played with my son on a beautiful Fall afternoon. For a public course this is a great design, challenging, generous landing areas for the driver, well bunkered, just a wonderful golf course. No starter so lots of twosomes might be better if they could put groups together. Greens were an 8 after aerating but will be a 10 soon.
Overpriced for conditions
This has traditionally been one if my favorite courses in the greater Boston area. I found it in tough shape this time with greens that were pretty beat up, not just from aeration but other kinds if marks and scars. The biggest problem was pace of play and a foursome that would not let us play through , and we are quick players. Very frustrating because not I be ranger ever on the course, which for the price is unacceptable. For $129 the course us hugely and magnificently overpriced, there are far better courses right in the area for a lot less. This course survives on its image, but at some point reality catches up and I'm surely disappointed because it used to be my favorite .
overpriced and overrated
Wasn't too impressed. The conditions were mediocre. The greens and fairways were punched recently, but we weren't made aware of that. It was a slow round, a little over 5 hrs.
Great golf course. Highly recommended.
Course was in great shape. Extremely enjoyable. Highly recommended.
Among the best golf experiences in the Boston area
I have had the pleasure of playing The Oaks course three times now, and each time it lives up to my lofty memories/expectations. It's simply a beautiful, challenging course, with fantastic practice facilities and amenities to match. Golf is becoming an expensive hobby, but when you compare the experience (playing and otherwise) of The International to most other options in the Greater Boston area, you can't find many that can match its value.
Price too high
It is obviously a great course but if it only didn't cost 129 dollars to play with a cart. That's just ridiculous.
Fantastic Fazio designed course
Fabulous views from tees of challenging course.
A must play.
So far the best public course I've seen in Massachusetts
I had the luck to play the Oaks course at International Club this past Sat afternoon. I played many places before, in CA, OR, WA, TX, NM, CO, and now here in Massachusetts. The Oaks Course is definitely better than Red Tail and other public courses I've played in Boston area. Great place and very challenging course. Enjoyed it very much!

A great afternoon at the International - Oaks Course
Just became aware thru GolfNow that this course (the Oaks) is open to the public. Usual price is $129 but got out for $80 - it is definitely worth $80. Our foursome played in the afternoon and there were very few groups out there - so the round was quick without any holdups or anyone to push you - and the conditions were excellent. The greens are well kept but tough to read - need to play it a few times to get them down. The issues with no carts on some fairways was really not that bad. Great snack bar out on the course and the beverage cart was available several times. We all played well and had a great afternoon - and will be back - at the lower price.
Plush
The course is the best public course you can play, course is on great shape.the best thing about the course is you never have to wait on shots or tee boxes ,might be because it is expensive!! But it's worth it at least once a year!!!
good valve $$
Just a great layout ..fun to play ..would travel back again to play
Great conditions.
Excellent. I wish the greens rolled a little faster and staff is great.
In My Top 3 Favorite Layouts
I've played a ton of courses, and this by far is one of the most fun layouts I've ever played. Figuring out where to park and where the clubhouse is the 1st time your there is a bit confusing, but that's my only "complaint". Facilities are nice AND convenient as they have a "snack/ beer shack" out on course. Quality of the course compares to the courses @ Disney, The Concessions and the Ritz in Sarasota, FL.
Treat Course
Nicest course in New England. Expensive, but worth the splurge
Great course
I've always wanted to play The International as I've heard great things so when I saw the 50% off deal I jumped on it and was not disappointed. The parking lot set up is a bit confusing, but that's really my only complaint as the course was in great shape and everyone was very nice and accommodating. Great driving range and practice facility as well!
Awesome eighteen
Played the Oaks. Tremendous course. Greens perfect, designed with just the right amount of undulation to make them fair yet challenging and interesting played back tees and found yardage on all holes again challenging but not excessive. Loved the course
Nice course with golfnow price
Course is way to expensive if you book it directly. They did not allow carts on many hole even though it was hot day. They should allow carts on most of there holes.
absolutely beautiful
Doesn't much better than a day at the International. Course was in great shape
