Beautiful course with great variety in the holes.
The only thing that caught us as first-timers was not knowing the layout, and so not knowing exactly where to aim to avoid water hazards. Laid up too soon more than once! Although this is a comment on players more than maintenance, there were a lot of unrepaired ball marks on the greens. We liked that no two holes were much alike, and the views were lovely!
Overall a good place to play. I don’t think it’s quite worth the $70 but by no means is it a bad course. Needs a little love in terms of mowing the rough and tee boxes. Needs better signage on the course. Not bad overall

Stow North at Stow Acres Country Club
Greens were incredibly slow and appear to not have been groomed for quite awhile. Rough was excessively long as desperately needs to be cut. Poor value for fee. Used to be one of best courses in area but apparently ownership will not put $ into it to make it good again.

golf 4 all
Staff was excellent fairways and roughs could use some grass cutting and greens are slow. But overall the value was excellent and play was under 4: and 1/2 hours
Rough was deep but manageable, greens are a little soft on approach so landing in high and hard you can expect it to grab. Overall great course
Not worth the money
Every tee box was terrible. Greens were in good shape. Fringe was really uneven. Very buggy first five holes.
Thank you for leaving us a review. We are sorry to hear your experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you will give us another try in the future. Thank you for choosing Stow North at Stow Acres Country Club.
Not what it used to be
This course used to be a golf cathedral,,,now it is an under maintained facility. While the fairways and greens are still quite good, the tee boxes, sand traps, and rough/woods are a disaster. Where once an off line tee ball would trickle between trees and be easily found on a cleared out forest floor, now one finds waist high vegetation, including poison ivy and trees the were fallen years ages ago. Even worse, recently removed trees have been replaced by rock strewn, unmaintained, impenetrable areas. Other courses hire a couple of kids with weed whackers to clear out these areas, and make for a far more enjoyable golfing day.
Thank you so much for leaving us with your feedback. We value our customer experience, so your review is important to us. Please know the current conditions are by no means the standard we strive to achieve. We will continue to work towards a 5-star experience and we hope to see you back!
High class course - 3 1/2 hours for 18
Played the south course. Was in great condition. Fairways 95% solid - greens 100%.
First group off the tee, four of us and done in 3:34mins.
Perfect early hit off and home for family duties.
In good shape
The course played well today and was kept up nicely. Mid-week pace of play is outstanding. Staff were friendly and attentive.
Not worth the money, poor condition
First off the price is pretty high, especially when you have to pay for a cart even if you are walking. Having played this course in the past I remember it being a challenging course, but the conditions today were pretty poor. Didn't look like it had been cut in a few days, with no definition from fairway to rough and the greens were clearly not cut and rolled so they were pretty slow and bumpy (lots of unrepaired ballmarks too). Fairways (wide bladed rye apparently, not nice golf course grasses) were spotty with many areas very rough to the point you needed to play preferred lies if you wanted any grass under your ball in many cases. And the tee boxes were very poor. Also the trees lining the course haven't been pruned apparently so they blocked many of your shots making an already tight course ridiculous. I was very unimpressed and to make matters worse the trash cans were pretty much all overflowing. Doesn't really look like they do a great job with maintaining the course. I was pretty disappointed especially after hearing the new owners were going to upgrade the course after some down years, but apparently that's not the case and they are just collecting high greens fees instead. Spend your money and time on a nicer course.

Greens were the best part of the course. Very good condition and consistent. Fairways need a lot of work. We Completed our round about 4:45 which was a decent pace for a Sunday. Very disappointed to see all of the trash barrels on the tees overflowing with rubbish with some trash on the ground. You would think they would have a maintenance crew to keep the place tidy and inviting. OK with the Hot Deal price from Golf Now but would not have been pleased if I had paid more. I played the South Course about 6 years ago, and my recollection was sufficiently positive to want to return to try the North Course.

4th Person Rude
The course and experience was overall pretty decent but the person paired with our threesome was rude and ignorant. He made racially incentive comments and make the whole group uncomfortable. We had him ply through ahead of us and from there ok we enjoyed our experience but it was certainly a rough start.
